Worse than lovren.. I think not.

Draxler for 30mil.... that's cheap. Can't klopp do the "development"
I didn't realise "Not worse than Lovren" was our standard now. He'd probably organise us better, but his lack of speed would be cruelly exposed in our system.

If Draxler does realise his potential, he would be well worth it. Though the link said 45m rather than 30m.

£45m is a ****ing steal in today's market.

This **** is babbling ****e, we should say thank you to Couthinho and wish him well etc.

Apart from great goals what has he given to the club compared to what the club have given him?

Apparently not selling him to Barca is damaging LFC.

It's amazing journalism from an 'expert', some of my favourite bits:

"Barca have got themselves into this situation by selling Neymar when they did"- Barca couldn't refuse to sell, its a release clause they had no option but to sell, the timing has nothing to do with Barca its just when PSG met the clause.

"But what's also weird about this situation, and another reason why Coutinho probably feels hard done by, is that Liverpool have sold star players in the past - like with Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling"- Suarez had to wait a year and Sterling when on actual strike with a **** of an agent. How is it weird to want to keep a star player?

"If a player deserves to move on to bigger things, like Barcelona, it should almost be like: 'Thank you for everything, you've done brilliantly, now on your way.'"- Wow that's a defeatist attitude, no wonder Jenas and Spurs never won anything.

****wit - how the **** is £80m on the never never, plus various add-ons (some achievable some not), the 'deal of a lifetime'? Especially as they have £200m in their pocket. And they try to portray this halfwit as one of punditry's more intelligent voices. I'll tell you what's being damaged here - the idea that Sky's and BBC's punditry of ex pros have a ****ing scooby what they're talking about.

The argument is getting more and more polarised now, with positions becoming more entrenched - I hope to **** the club don't back down to this pathetic hegemony of Football's hierarchy, who just cannot admit they may be wrong. I am really becoming encouraged by FSG, and for the first time. Good on you (so far) you Imperialist venture capitalists.

I'll 2nd that with regards to FSG.......but they're still mingebags for not rebuilding the Anny Rd End.<whistle>

Just back to the Sterling thing- he was never that good, potential yes but actual prowess, no. Getting £50m for him was the deal of window and we had time to find replacements and weren't replacing a star player.
Not to mention he's a total **** and it hasn't gone brilliantly for him at Citeh where he's effectively been reduced to a bit part bench player.

One more thing - here's an idea: offer Ford a contract like Luis's in 2.013 with a release clause of, say £90m to any non-Prem team. BUT - it must be paid in cash and the buyers must pay the agent's fees. Now, let's see, even if he has a stellar WC, whether barca will cut the mustard on that one. PSG would.

And that's why we sold him, the club knew he was bang average and stalling but flavour of the month ... and that's why a club like Barca weren't sniffing around like a neglected, starving dog

I had two problems with Lil Rim, firstly that for all his whimperings he never did put in a TR, and secondly that he didn't see the problem at all that he moving to a Prem rival.

No, they wouldn't.
They only keep bidding now to keep the pressure on Dembele to force his move from Dortmund. That is why the bid keeps going up but the cash keeps going down.

Having seen how it's structured, do you now, along with MITO, not see that they're really not serious on this, and Ford is being sadly used, no matter what his ephemeral dreams? Jenas, and all the other 'knowledgeable' talking heads are frigging nuts if they think we're going to sell on these terms just because it's Barca and Ford is all wistful.

If you look at my posts I have been saying that all along.

Well imo that offer was purely to get a rejection. 80mil in installment over 5 years? If that's right it is literally impossible to accept.

I think it's to stave off the fans savaging the president.

Dembele will be going nowhere either btw. He's acted worse than coutinho but won't be sold for what Barca are offering.

Barca seem to be struggling just to pay messi, but to buy paulinho and then offer that for coutinho was just asking to get knocked back.

The situation remains unchanged. Coutinho is on strike in effect turning up to get a back massage then ****ing off home. Klopp said he's not even talked to him since the "injury" so that says it all. Until Barca actually pony up a real offer he is going nowhere and frankly imo there are people in his camp like his agent and father who are the ones barca want to pay off to get him.

They should have been paying attention to contract before they let him sign it.

Same as mr vvd and his 6 year deal.

If the reports of structure are true and obviously must have come from lfc if true then

A) lfc sick of it now and shown barca up.

B) barca cant be serious. Its political not footballing issues that demands this.

Anyone see the irony in Barca signing Paulinho before Coutinho?

Inter sold Coutinho to us because they wanted funds to buy Paulinho!
