Why? Barca have £200m in their pocket, and if the boot was on the other foot, like it was over Luis, they'd ****ing stamp for all their worth.

Everything you say after that is true, but irrelevant. Sure, if we get £135m (and NO agents' fees, ffs) that'll mean, as it did with Andy Carroll, that it's passed on when we go to buy someone, But I sure as hell would rather pay £10m over the odds for Keita and put the money in Leipzig's pocket (and or Soton's too, for all their arsehole fans on here), than in Barca's.

I simply cannot understand, after our dealings with Barca over Luis and Masch, why anyone would think otherwise. 'Let's all be nice to other and stop this madness now that poor Barca are suffering'. **** that. Stop the ride AFTER they've puked their ****ing guts up, not before. ****ers.
There's no point in me answering that because I've given my reasoning in the previous post.
As for your last paragraph, I'm looking to the future of the game, not pursuing an emotionally charged vendetta against one club.
I really don't care what Barca do, tbh - and the suggestion that I'm calling for a halt because of some "poor Barca" sentiment is way off the mark.

Worst scenario for us. Coutinho as burnt his bridges with Klopp and needs to go now.

Nonsense. Absolutely nothing here that Luis didn't do. The whole idea of the TR and 'I hate Jurgen' malarkey was to try and force a sale, especially at a cheaper price. It's a sign of a negotiation weakness, not strength, and I hope to Christ Jurgen and FSG recognise this. A hopeless act of desperation, as they know they don't have any other card. If he's here on 1st Sept (I now hope he isn't and that Barca cough-up the 150m Euros), then he'll soon come around in a WC year.

I wouldn't mind selling him next year for £80m, so long as we have time to do a proper progression plan like we had between Keegan and Dalglish, but hopefully not to Barca.

I think there should be a law preventing one club from putting pressure on another to sell.

There is a law to prevent a club directly agreeing a contract with a player from another club without the selling club's permission, as the Catalan press, the official mouthpiece of Barca, have bragged has happened. Only small clubs get upset about that stuff though.

If Coutinho is not sold to Barca this time round, he might never go there to play in the future, because they are going to be frustrated
as well.

1) Bullshit - if he has a good WC they'll soon change their tune.

2) He'll claim PSG or Real are his 'dream' if they offer him enough next year.

Why should we care? <laugh>

We should be signing players whose dream it is to play for us. Not signing players in the hope they can play for Barca. I couldn't give a **** what Coutinho 'wants' hes under contract.
