. Let's be serious here, if any multi millionaire hasn't got "funds" stashed away all over the world (esp Switzerland and their like) then they must have won the lottery rather than made it through business. I bet the cash came from various tax havens all over the world
Yes, but taking that money out of China is against state laws. If he used money he has effectively smuggled out of China then surely the government wouldn't be best pleased
Potentially, but I guess he would only do that if he was in trouble with the Chinese. I don't think he would be able to get this level of funding out of China without there backing
A bit of googling suggests you can get permission from the Chinese government to take more money out of the country. I would think you could also do something by moving money through Hong Kong or Macau.
GAO - I want to buy Southampton PRC - You may invest $50k outside of the country GAO - Yeah that's gonna leave me a bit short there......
Possibly. There wouldn't be any guarantee that he or Lander would get permission and that might explain why this has dragged on so long. I'd be surprised if any Chinese businessman thinking of moving money abroad didn't have investments in Hong Kong or Macau though and I think Lander have business links to Macau. Moving money from there would be much easier.
I'm only sorry about Yoshida as it is known that the Chinese hate the Japanese, and now we know why we haven't offered him a new contract.
I have a friend with wealthy Chinese in-laws. I gather the rules (all rules) can be easily broken if you know the right people.
Kim Jong Un was apparently interested in being a non executive director but he wanted to use the training ground as a weapons factory which was a deal breaker ultimately
I enjoyed it, if that's any consolation. Although I've been known to only apply a sense of humour to inappropriate situations......
Perfect. Don't we have enough midgets on the training ground who take a tonne of shots and never hit the target?
On Sky, Nathan Redmond says the team had been told a few days before about the takeover, but had also been told that it wouldn't affect them. He said that he hadn't met the new owners, but if he did they'd be welcomed with open arms because that's what it is like at Southampton....a family.
