Other than saying it is certain (even something that is 99.9% going to happen, isn't certain), I don't see what Jamie has said wrong. Why would Virgil want to stay? Until we finally replace the likes of Yoshida and Davis with quality, I can't see us ever getting out of this cycle (and no, it won't take billions to do that. We didn't spend billions to sign the likes of Virgil, Mane and Wanyama in the first place)

He could've done what every other player looking to get out does and refused to sign a SIX year contract extension last Summer. He has only himself to blame in this matter, he made his bed and now has to be professional and lie in it. Haven't we just broken our transfer record for a CM and we have signed a CB too.
Yeah I'm pretty sure Stelling likes us. Just had a couple of Boufal rants last year that made people think differently.
