Also, if West Ham don't want him, can we please have Snodgrass back on the cheap?
Villa are favourites to sign him, though apparently Brighton are keen and he'd be a good signing for them.

I can't understand us being linked with him at all, he's ****e. Is that seriously the best keeper we could aim for? If Greegsy is leaving, then the newcomer would be the number 1.
[/QUOTE]Someone at Brighton asked me about Niasse and Hernandez the other day.....don't know about Snodgrass, but they are definitely after a striker on the cheap
I thought at the time of the substitution we looked the more likely side to win the game, as Campbell looked knackered or slightly injured bringing a striker on (Diomonde) who has a good work rate would have kept the Villa defence occupied, also Hernandez had put in a really good shift and must have been tiring so needed help upfront. Bringing Meyler on who had'nt had any match practice was in my opinion a huge risk to take. Our dominant period ended when Meyer kept giving the ball away inviting villa to come on to us.
Hernandez impressed me on Saturday. Thought he worked really hard for the team.
A point was a good result. Bringing a cm on for a tiring forward was a no brainer.I thought at the time of the substitution we looked the more likely side to win the game, as Campbell looked knackered or slightly injured bringing a striker on (Diomonde) who has a good work rate would have kept the Villa defence occupied, also Hernandez had put in a really good shift and must have been tiring so needed help upfront. That's what happens when you have Carmine as head of player recruitment. He loves a keeper does our Carmine. You can never have too many.
Really! A game changing plan.A point was a good result. Bringing a cm on for a tiring forward was a no brainer.
I agree if your hanging on for a point but at that particular time we were the team going forward and looking the likelier to score, we could have brought a cm later by leaving Diomonde on and bringing a tiring Hernandez off.A point was a good result. I'd have put Dio on for FC and seen how it rolled? I just thought putting meyler on invited them on to us? Didn't help with DM giving a few loose passes & fouls! I'm a meyler fan but I think Leo missed a trick?
Snodders must be on 60k or so at West Ham, can't imagine we'd compete, and can't see Brighton competing either, as for Villa they can't spend anything can they due to FFP? Wages they're OK on, as demonstrated by the John Terry signing, but aren't they a bit pooped on the transfer fee side?
Villa are knackered on both sides really now. When you look at the players who didn't make the 18, Richards, Amavi, Elphick, McCormack it's no surprise. They're all big earners and are struggling to get rid of them. They were also without Jedinak, Adomah, Grealish and Kodjia through injury so you can see they've got a huge squad.
