A little concerning about that rash of substitutions for injury - do any of them look serious?

Didnt we win our first game 3 nil last season? See we're already worse than we were last year
Didn't look serious to me - Bidwell cramp and Washington just a knock in the back I hope!

And nothing will change the fact that all the know-it-alls that couldn't see a point coming in the first 8 games WERE WRONG. Even if we lose the next seven they will still have been wrong!
Just at the pub now, eating a massive slice of humble pie. I didn't give us a chance before kick off, but honestly, if we'd taken our chances it could have been 5 or 6. Fantastic display.
Ned was absolutely everywhere. The midfield trio of luongo, scowen and freeman were class all game. Washington and mackie caused untold problems (some poor finishing but I can let that go).
For what it's worth, me and my friend were outside the green around half 1, and saw manning walking past on the phone, full qpr tracksuit and hood up, looking a little annoyed if I'm honest but only saw him quickly. His car was parked on the road behind the defectors weld. Seemed odd to us at the time.

Sailing up the coast towards Maine in pouring rain and just got swift signal. Amazed and happy st the result especially as I forecast 2 0 (the other way).well done boys.

Delighted with the result and performance but I really wouldn't read much into it as Reading were as bad today as it gets like Leeds last season.

We hit the ground running but it's a long season so 3 points in the bag no goals conceded and cause for optimism that we'll do better than some had feared will do for me. Got my first chance to judge next Saturday at Wednesday. Or is that the other way around? Who cares. COYRs
Well, not many expected that did they? Apart from super-optimist me, of course, but I predicted 2-1. We could have had five, but then we could easily have conceded a couple too. The back three of Onuoha, Perch and Lynch look very porous, but all of the midfield three were superb, complimenting each other perfectly. Scowen, looking very much like a playing reincarnation of Holloway, was every bit the 'rat' that he describes himself as, all industry and simple passing, and, whilst we are on comparisons to ex-players, I think Luongo, when running with the ball, is slightly reminiscent of Gerry Francis. Alright, I know, a pale imitation, but he too was excellent today. Man of the match for me, though, was Freeman - superb on the ball in tight spaces and seeming to find passes that others wouldn't see. With Manning, Borysiuk, Cousins and Goss on the sidelines, we really are blessed with midfield resources.
Reading were the perfect opening opponents for a Holloway side. They think they can play out from the back and keep possession, but they're really not good enough for that and our high-press game, with Mackie (who was excellent) and Washington (who should have had a hat-trick) never letting them settle on the ball, made them rush their passes and constantly give it away. They looked a poor side, but they very nearly got promoted last year didn't they?
We probably still need to recruit a centre-back and a striker, but we should be okay.
