We're in a worse position now than we were before last season started. Looks like we haven't learned **** all from last year. I feel so sorry for Clement being put in this position by the club. Stop ****ing around if no bid has meet the valuation get Gylfi back on the pitch after all he's being paid to be a professional footballer.
not fancying this one. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/striker-adrian-lopez-swansea-city-13430458 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrián_López
If we can refrain from another wildly early season sacking followed by a quick knee jerk hiring ....we are already ahead of the game regardless of the ins and outs of players . If Clement is given a proper chance , I think we will be fine . Seems to be a guy who knows who and how he wants to play
Apparently Mawson has better goal stats than him. Talk about ****ing pound shop. Again hope this is rubbish, but why would I not be surprised if we wasted 4 months on him only to have to replace in January because he is ****e.
I agree that Clement's the man to take us forward, pity the board are ****ing him about with player recruitment. No change there then.
Sorry valley , I didn't know what I meant by my post , I must have taken it out of context . But just as a reference , our first full season , after doing a manager sacking and Bony leaving , we earned our most points ever
I don't care what players you have , sacking a manager after 7 games , hiring a mistake after that and having 4 managers before the seasons over puts you behind the 8 ball . Was the only point I was trying to make
But it doesn't does it. Clemment knew exactly what he wanted and what he needed at the end of the season having worked with those players for 5 months. What puts us behind is the board not strengthening our squad, when it clearly needed doing, By the way sacking the manager after 7 games was 100% right as he was a poor poor manger, Employing the idiot Yank as his successor was 100% wrong. but that is the past and it seems that in terms of team and squad building our **** up board has learned **** all. They finally after 4 or 5 attempts emploty a manager fans finally have confidence in him and still fail to back him in the transfer market. So far we have spent nothing in this transfer market, I feel sorry for Clement as the board are still L2 and we will end up panic buying on 31/8/17.
What bearing does that have on this season? We are still behind as we have had neither Gylfi nor Llorente involved during pre season.
Cork went for £10m and Gomis for £3m and Barrow for £1.5m? Net spend is about £2.5m in the Yanks favour.
There seems to be a lot of movement out, which some I agree with, but very little in terms of movement on the way back in. As I have said all along we are in our 7th season in the Pl and the 2 wingers we got promoted with are still the best 2 wingers at the club, we have to improve our squad and unless we get moving it is worrying. No matter who we sign now will not be ready to start the season with us, What happened to we are going to get everything done early or have they and we are bringing no more in. Hello Championship.
How much did Cork and Barrow play last season ? They were both non events . I'm sure Clement and company are working diligently behind the scenes ready to grab players IF Llorente and Siggy are sold .... Seems a bit amateurish to buy replacements till they actually go . And Lefty , sacking Guido after 7 games being right or wrong is a matter of opinion , and we both know ours
That would be Jack cork who made 30 appearances last season. I liked Cork as he gave everything. To be honest I agree with getting rid of Barrow and Cork if they see fit and the manager is happy to let him go and yet you want to keep the biggest non event in the incapable VDH who was poor cause he wasn't given game time, could not the same be said for Barrow or is that different to you. As for buying before you sell, well we bought Messa before we sold Cork was that amateurish. If we get 50m for siggy you can add 10m to any signing of any sort of class. Ask Liverpool who had to pay 35m for Carroll shortly after receiving 50m for Torres. We all know siggy is on his way and even if he doesn't go we still need adequate cover which we don't have at the moment. As for Guido, seems the board don't agree with you as they saw the sense to get rid of him early enough only to fail miserably by not employing PC at that time.
