PD had a chat with SW and some interesting points arose - "Webber also revealed there are no plans to offload any of Farke’s frontline options. “Outs, I don’t think there would be anything considerable because we don’t need to sell. Maybe one or two of the fringe lads,” he said. “The squad isn’t that big. If we lost a big player we have to go and replace them. We wanted a tight squad but not to go too far the other way. Listen, you can never say never if a club came and blew our minds with an offer that would allow us to bring in more players. But I have not had a knock on my door by any of the squad for a considerable amount of time saying they are unhappy. “It appears everyone is buying into it. They are a happy group of players. We bonded well in Germany, we had a barbecue for everyone at the club last weekend and the board came, the players’ families came. It is a good atmosphere.”

Ihenacho to Leicester is such a good move! Especially for 25M! Bargain in this obscene market. He's a natural goalscorer who will only get better with regular games!
I was very impressed with him when we played Citeh a couple of seasons ago.

Did any of you see the Sampdoria Vs Man U friendly?

Blind did a powerful wayward back pass to De Gea, and he had to dive and 1 handed save it. It was given as an indirect free-kick 6 yards from goal! Is that the rule!? I thought the keeper had to pick it up? If the keeper touches it with his fingertips it is still classed as a pass back?? I've never seen it happen before. The whole united team was on the line. They blocked it, broke and scored immediately. Mental few minutes of football!

Only just noticed, so many big clubs clashing on the opening fixture!

Sunderland Vs Derby
Fulham Vs Norwich
Ipswich Vs Birmingham
QPR Vs Reading
Wolves Vs Boro
Villla Vs Hull

Tough opening day of the season!

Just been making a note of which home games I'd like to see this season and probably only 16, so with my Priority Membership, I'll be saving around £50 and another £150 in beer/food before and after matches!!! <cheers>

Depressing.

Just had up on screen: Championship players who have scored the most in the last 3 Championship seasons.

Chris Martin is number 1.

So glad he's another youth player we gave up on. Wouldn't be Norwich City otherwise!

We gave him every chance but his bad behaviour was more important to him.

Seems like he may have grown up at long last!

Strange how the other clubs seem to have sorted him out, but we didn't bother.

Show's how worth it is to have faith and work on raw talent. If Ronaldo had come through our youth system, we would have released him on free for being a big head.

Even Holty couldn't get through to him!

Probably the shock of us releasing him made him realize he had a choice to make! I love the way you always blame our club! <steam>

I'm afraid Dave's right and he was quite regularly getting drunk/in trouble with the local youffs in Beccles I think it was. He needed to move away from temptation!!!

Or just get members of staff to get hold of him and give him a good shake! You can't pamper these players. Players like him need a firm hand.

Seems to have worked incredibly for every other club he has played for. Other than us, who thought he was a bit too much work.
