Then we set about chasing clubs to who money is irrelevant. You can see why we value our Academy so much. Paying £70m for a centre half is madness and has to be paid for somehow. Ultimately, we the fans pay somehow.

Agree with this. We made mistakes and were fannying about. If the chavs have bid for him, saints would be happy and Van Dijk probably too. Why risk waiting for Liverpool to bid or not bid, he wants out and would take the chavs
