don't think so. I think klopp just thinks taa hasn't a clue how to defend at senior level yet. Gomez is more solid so i think he will be kept in there as long as we have the same cbs we do now as well.. Flanagan is boned. so.... clyne would want to buck up a bit and get fit. i could see him replaced if not by one or both of these. Its not like the guy has much big game nouse anyway... he's hardly played any
no i don't. theres no such position as right midfield in klopps current 433. he's playing virtual RW but from a RB starting position due to our dominance in preseason he will play Rb for us in a few games this year. how many is up to his speed of learning the defensive requirements.
It's also infuriating they don't get the business done sooner. Instead of having all summer to get a good sense of how teammates play any sod now will be just learning by the time the league starts again. Nothing beats a good consistent summer when you're not preparing for imminent games.
Who isn't? However, every good businessman knows you have to invest wisely to make money. They've spent big several times since they took over, and they may just believe that the possibility of sustained success brought by keeping your best players brings better dividends than a short term cash-in.
They bought a club for £200m that had been valued a year before at £500m, with a minimal 'stadium' debt of £50m (don't forget, H&G rightly got lumbered with the rest of the debt), and that is now worth, according to the latest Forbes estimates, £1.1bn (yes, sterling). That's what FSG are in it for, and my only fear is that there are, possibly, some worse.
That valuation isn't readies though, is it? They can't just go and spend it. Perhaps they're trying to build the value of the club to a point where they want to sell it, who knows? However, if they do, who would we want to be in charge - because as you say, there are probably a lot worse. We need to be careful what we wish for.
