The final scene with Spoiler Jaime and Olenna was one of the best scenes the show has ever had, absolutely superb
I also love how they've made the foreshadowing to Spoiler Jon being Targaryen so blatantly obvious now. I can't wait for that creepy perv Bran to tell him.
Might sound weird but I thought the locations were amazing this week. They're always good but these were breathtaking. Not a spoiler - it's a guess - there's defo a dragon death coming.
The Mother of Dragons gets more stunning each time I see her, and yes that final scene was brilliant Quill.
I was a tad disappointed Casterly Rock was nothing like it is in the books, but to be honest it couldn't be, otherwise it would require a full episode akin to the Blackwater one from series 2 for the battle. Dragonstone gets better looking with every scene (I've been to where they filmed it, it's breathtaking in real life too, even without the castle). They've built up the idea of the dragons being vunerable, it has to happen, it's now reached a Chekov's Gun scenario with them and that giant crossbow built by Qyburn. Of course, two will have to survive, considering Jon and Dany will both need one each... Cersei did some knee bending if I recall...
Still amazes me that people expect Episode 1s to be anything more than they are - set up episodes to launch the season. I thought Ep 1 was brilliant.
I gave in last night and watch the first 3 episodes. I was planning on saving up the whole series and having a binge but I just couldn't wait. Now I have to wait a bloody fortnight for the next two as I'll be in Portugal next week. Which also means I'll spend most of the episodes explaining to Mrs Stockholm who everyone is and why they're ****ing/killing/plotting with each other.
