The best ever player in the premiership?
The best ever player in the premiership?
To the OP, Cantona wouldn't even be in the top 10.
Ridiculous.
Flash in the pan
And it was Cantona was it?
In only one of those season did he even score more than 15 goals.
Completely overrated.
Thats like saying Wes Brown is the best defender ever because United won 3 back to back titles with him and then finished 2nd when they sold him to Sunderland.
He's had some kind of episode recently. He's been chatting **** across various threads.Check out these ridiculously misinformed beauties;
Cantona for me will always be the king.
The team was struggling for confidence and missing that last piece of the jigsaw puzzle. He came along, was the catalyst that brought everything together and led to the beginning of an era of domination by United. His impact was massive.
He wasn't the highest goal scorer, the best tackler, the fastest player but his presence was always felt in the United team and he towered over everyone else in terms of creativity and confidence. Rooney record breaker was a Pygmy in comparison.
Pity about the rest of the articles in the series - I know that picking best players is subjective but this is crap https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-league-at-25-best-xi-petr-cech-thierry-henry

History was changed when Leeds sold Cantona to United for 1 million.
The best ever £1m ever spent.
