Potentially. Would depend on how it's done. We'd do a lot better than most clubs in that case but the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool, etc would dominate.
I could see the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, etc asking why they have to share so much of the money with Bournemouth and West Brom when they are the ones attracting all of the viewers and money. We would do ok with that system, but we would still fall even further behind the top level.
Closer than a lot, on comparative terms we feature more that some of the big ones this first half of the season and historically always have. Either way I'm only in favour of equal distribution to help keep this league somewhat competitive. Look at the Spanish league, its ****ing ruined it, you basically have two teams and every now and again a third pops up for a bit (Athletico, Valencia) The rest of the time every other club appears to be struggling to stay afloat. You would never get a Leicester there
There's always one. Seriously though when they had Tenerife and that league and Gran Canaria (still in it?) Must have been some belting away trips, just a full on lads holiday
I think its the same in Portugal travelling to the Azores. Nothing beats French cup games though where teams from French Polynesia get to enter. There was one cup game where the away fans had a 21000 mile round journey.
The comparisons are ridiculous, and yet our fans turn out more than any of these countries. Suppose we've got Wales to travel to
Merino, Murphy and Lejuene look proper exciting players for me, well pleased with them so far especially Lejuene at the back. Atsu must have done enough last season to convince Rafa and Manquillo seems like good cover for the full backs. AM and CF and I'll behappy with the window. P.S. apparently 2 clubs are set to pay £5 for Riviere (supposedly millions but i don't believe that for a second) - I'm half expecting to see ACS cheeks in a window if this happens!
Think the signings so far are ok and lets face it we are never likely to spend £25m+ on a player. Just a little but gutted we missed out on Zouma who went to Stoke, rate him and sure he would have done well for us. And also for £16m I think we really should have been in the hunt for Hernandez think that could well be the steal of the summer if all these ridiculous fee's that are being banded around are true! I would have also liked one of the City FB's that they got rid of, but fully appreciate wages may have been massive issue for us (well MA more than 'us'). Just think a bit of experience of say a Zabelleta or Clichy would have been good for a year - maybe 2. Think we are on track to do enough to stay up
Couldn't agree more with this, Zouma has been one of my favorite up and coming players since Footy Manager 2012 or 13 (young Mexican striker Carlos Fierro is the current one from 2016 - didnt buy 17) and Hernandez for that price would have been a a great buy too
Rumours that Haidara will be off soon: http://www.nufcblog.com/2017/07/30/...ave-newcastle-this-summer-undergoing-medical/
How reliable is this source - it seems almost Windyesque in its lack of detail and even spells his name wrong? However if it ruins DPPs day it will do for me.
The source is L'Equipe in The France. That blog has been around for ages though and the guy does just quote other sources but doesn't make up rumours. I wonder if DPP will switch his support to whichever club Haidara ends up at?
You mean like Hank - with his previous love of all things Crystal Palace? He has been in a mess since his idol was sacked - he seems to have lost his interest in football.
I take that back. Looks like Alan has a new behind-the-scenes role at Liverpool judging by this comment from Adam Lallana http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...niel-sturridge-like-having-two-new-liverpool/ Adam Lallana: Fit Daniel Sturridge is like having two new Liverpool signings
Nothing exciting about any of our signings People thought riviere looked good preseason when we signed him, so I'll wait until they've done something before I start with anything complimentary.
