Just had to call AA out. Bloody alternators broke meaning the battery's been drained to literally ****all.

New AA approved battery is £144... **** that!

Drove to Halfords (he got it started) with the AA guy following me (just incase). Cheapest battery? £125!

AA guy becomes a legend and pulls out a Halfords card...20% off!

Just got to seek a new alternator tomorrow now [HASHTAG]#whowantsmoneyanyway[/HASHTAG]

Good on him. That battery won't last pissing time unless you get one. Of course I assume it doesn't need to be said, no radio, a.c. or lights on getting to garage.

AA batteries aren't big enough for a car.

In an effort to decoke my inbox from the pile of ****e that builds up in it, I came across a little gem that announced:
"Your Free Lifetime Membership Is About To Expire"
What do they know that I don't? <yikes>

Anyway, it's been nice knowing you all, tara.
At least they told you lol.

I know **** all the batards. I reckon rhc is behind it :bandit:

Is this another ****ing leaving thread? <laugh>

In other news, I'm off to see the consultant next Tuesday, at which time I'm presuming he's going to tell me what he's going to hack at, saw and drill first, and when.

Question: Is it grammatically correct to follow a comma with 'and' on occasion?

I did think of putting in its own thread, but Carl told me off last time because I wasn't really leaving.

As for the grammar, I'd say it was correct because if you take it out it doesn't read as well. <ok>

I agree. I had a mate once (I could leave it at that <laugh>) with a law degree who ultimately went into copywriting adverts. He argued vehemently that it should be either a comma, or 'and'. I always disagreed with him. He's still a mate, but I just don't see him very often. I used to shag his wife, but that's not the reason <laugh>

Thats nothing. My fuel injector went, nearly £500 in total to get new part and fit it, plus I had to get rac to come out and pick me up and pay for the callout as I wasn't a member - £80
