Why aren't the press and media having a go at them, Had that been Arsenal or any other club, I'd never hear the end of it.

They are...they were discussing that very topic on Talksport this morning...probably still chatting about it

there is an article on Sky sports discussing it

Daniel Levy was asked this question a day or two ago and he answered it from the club's perspective

lol classic Matthew

They are to a certain extent.

I'm just listening to a TalkSport podcast and they're getting ripped a new one, especially some fan that rang in saying they've got the best team in the league so don't need to invest <rofl>

The one I'm listening to was from yesterday. Matth's [HASHTAG]#fail[/HASHTAG] maybe it's not all over twitter?!

They haven't signed anybody probably because they don't need to, they've got kids who can play back up to a very strong starting 11.

There's no point making signings for big money if they don't improve your first 11.

Due to their wage structure, I'd imagine it's hard for them to sign any established 'star' who would improve their first 11.

It'll be a combination mate, you don't need the players like Sigurdsson to improve your team at £50m, but you probably can't afford to fetch in somebody like Veratti, who'd improve your team, as he'd be on £200k per week easy.

If you're referring to me pissing on the Levy love-in on the other thread, I just don't buy the waffle that he's the fat controller of the transfer market, he's just another chairman who has to conform to the hierarchy, the only difference being he kicks up a bit more of a fuss about it.

Their new stadium could not have come at a worse time.

In a period where they are actually not that far off winning the league they're diverting finances to a new stadium.

Could go down as a major 'what if' - if Spurs didn't shoot themselves in the foot and focused solely on investing in the team.
