You're right about the price, but even if it IS £120m, what good is that towards the end of the window? And especially if it's before we buy (if we do) Keita and/or VVD? They'll just lob an extra £10m on because they know we have extra money and we're desperate. And if it's true, why have Barcelona travelled for talks when we're being told Jurgen says he won't sell? Either FSG or Jurgen is lying. Either way, it's the end of the innocence for me if we sell Ford - Jurgen will be just another FSG puppet.

As always it comes down to the player. I have no doubt that Klopp is telling the truth when he says the player isn't for sale, and if the player is cool with the club knocking Barca back then that's the end of it.

But it's rare that any player is cool with a bid from Barca being knocked back. So if the lad is the exception to the rule, and is prepared to accept being told it ain't happening then he's a diamond. If he screams like a bitch and his agent is knocking the door down, then you've got your own taste of VvD on its way. Karma's a bitch......

You know it wouldn't surprise me one bit if we sell Couthino and fail to spend big at all. It also wouldn't surprise me if JK was on a profit share contract. Winning may not be everything to FSG. Turning a profit will be though <ok>

As much as I don't like the way City and Chelsea do things, it's obvious that spending money (and a lot of it by going from this window so far) wins you things.

Yes, well before you start creaming yourself and getting the streamers out for the open top bus (Transfer Window Cup, 2017), if you read the posts on this tread I've said that myself about the VVD and Keia transfers, and how they must put in a transfer request (as should Ford, if he's genuine). And we've already been on the receiving end of 'karma' (pre-karma?) with both Barca and City in recent years, so it isn't a one-way street.

But you miss my point - why are Barca 'travelling to London' (if they are) whilst we're being told that Ford is staying? Either FSG or Jurgen is lying (or both). That's the difference - not the buying club/selling club, player - power thing.

It's all just theatre to pretend to their fans they aren't completely broke

We could offer them Coutinho for £60m in cash and they'd [HASHTAG]#bottleit[/HASHTAG]
 
Said it a couple months ago that we will get 1 more season out of Coutinho. Just Inevitable he will be off to Barcelona eventually, however Neymar leaving would change that. They are best friends and grew up together, bet they would love to play together.
