Seriously, would you have him back? I always rated him, even when he played for you, and unlike the guy we have now (who is equally talented at putting the ball in the back of the net) he can play with the odd twinge or ache.

Against your own team-mates? I'm not so sure. How happy would you be if he flattened Coutinho in a training game?
Same with VvD, if he can have a strop with Saints, he can do the same with us.
I'm not saying I don't want either of them, but that sort of attitude bothers me. I wasn't happy about Lovren for the same reason.
