Did he definitely flat out refuse to travel, or did he say he'd prefer not to travel and the club said ok ?
I don't know the answer to that one

I was waiting for that reply.
I did not say they were failuresAnd you got it.
Who has come back to us and been a big failure ?
But they returned and have been hugely successful. It does not matter, He is a swans player and should have gone.......
Leon returned because his new wife was home sick...
And Gylfi returned because we were the only ones interested that would pay him the most money...
I know you didn't say that.... you said you weren't a fan of players returning.I did not say they were failures![]()
this may come back to bite me bit I think Bony would be a poor signing and ffs why didnt we sell Baston to Malaga and cut our losses????

I am not that excited about us re-signing Bony. What with the sky high wages and him not putting in a shift at Stoke there must be new talent out there for us to chase.this may come back to bite me bit I think Bony would be a poor signing and ffs why didnt we sell Baston to Malaga and cut our losses????
Provided every penny is used towards his replacement and a striker.

I thought I read Malaga offered close (minus a couple of mill) to what we paid however I may be wrong

I can't get interested in Tammy - he's a loan player. If he does any good we just lose him, leaving us with another hole to plug next season, but with no extra money that selling a player would bring in.
Robinson to Leeds (barely got a game), Trundle to Bristol City (see Robinson), Pratley to Bolton, (see Trundle) Sinclair to Man City (see Pratley), Allen to Liverpool (see Sinclair) Michu to Roma (see Allen), Bony to Man City (see Michu). If Siggy does go to Everton I think he'll be joining the long list of colour blind ex-swans who left us for better things. The grass isnt always greener is it?
All these guys looked sexy as hell in a Swans shirt but ended up with splinters from the bench when they left us.
Here's a quiz:
Name one Swansea old boy who excelled in a Swansea shirt and went on to excel at the club he left us for???
Answer: There isn't one.
The Swansea Curse is real. Forget about entanglement, that really is spooky.
As for Bony, I'd have him back if the price and wages are right. He can't expect us to pay huge wages, he's not performed for a couple of years.
If truth be told, he's only performed for a season and a bit for us. Started slow when he got here, picked up, got an ankle injury, recovered, started slow again then got on it banging in 34 goals. That's why I give him the time of day, we know he can can do it.
Or if we don't want to buy him then get someone who is not living on past glories, there's too much of that going around anyway, who is doing the business right now and pay him.
A couple of things to come out of pre-season so far, playing against lower level opposition remember, is that Abraham is young and has a pretty steep learning curve to climb and McBernie just isn't up to it. Elsewhere I think we're bottom half of the table Ok but, if we want to be better then we desperately need another striker.
