https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Kane#Beginnings If you want to count 14 months of all that as disqualifying Kane from being counted as an academy product, be our guest.
So at what point is he "one of your own"? I think you will find most youth players came from somewhere else. I am not trying to upset you, just pointing out that probably 14-20 is the time a club can make claim to most development in a player so your assertions that other teams youth came from other clubs is pretty pointless.
Take your pick from... a.) The fact that he was a member of our academy at the age of ten, rather than being signed when he was 16 like the Chelsea approach to "youth development" b.) The fact that he wasn't established in another club's academy when he was signed like David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Morgan Schneiderlin or a couple of dozen of Chelsea's annual loanees were c.) The fact he wasn't established in another club's first team when he was signed like Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlane or Wilfried Zaha d.) The fact we didn't have to pay compensation in order for him to be a part of our academy, which is what you had to do when you got caught tapping-up Pogba What's your encore, say that Jeremy Corbyn reneged on a promise to pay off all student debt?
Accounting principles mean that the cost of the deal (£352M) will be spread over the period of the contract for FFP purposes. Neymar must be signing a 25 year contract!
PSG have got an "agreement in principle" for a mortgage to buy Neymar (subject to a surveyor report) . Does he have a downstairs toilet and separate upstairs toilet / bath-shower room ??
Seria A isn't as bad as Prem lovers like to make out. When's the last time a Prem team made the CL final?
Completely besides the point. For the past few years Juve have been to Serie A what Celtic have been to the SPL, as demonstrated by the margins of victory for the majority of the last six seasons 2011-12: won by four points, remaining unbeaten all season 2012-13: won by nine points 2013-14: won by seventeen points 2014-15: won by seventeen points 2015-16: won by nine points 2016-17: won by four points It's not much of a stretch to balance domestic and European football when the only way Juve could be overhauled by Roma or Napoli would have a widespread UEFA investigation into match fixing, or if the clubs had called in a few dozen favours from the Banda della Magliana or Camorra respectively. If Milan can mount a serious challenge that will do a lot more for the league than another Juve procession that leaves Roma and Napoli in their dust by the end of March, especially since Roma could well be in for a transitional season.
Another Chelsea youngster goes out on loan at a fellow prem team. Izzy Brown signs one year loan with Brighton
Izzy Brown, who made his Premier League debut in 2013 at the age of 16. For West Brom. Signed for Chelsea and has done the usual round of loans, including a spell at Dutch Chelsea B, er... I mean Vitesse Arnhem. In a complete coincidence, the player who was probably England's stand out at the U19s Euros has also gone there on loan. His name's Mason Mount and he plays for... drum roll, please... Chelsea. He joins Fankaty Dabo and Charlie Colkett, who aren't Star Trek characters, but fellow Chelsea youths. Nathan (he's Brazilian), Lewis Baker, Matt Miazga and Mukhtar Ali all had the same arrangement last season.
It's like chicken farming but one wouldn't give the chickens names, just fatten them up a bit and sell 'em on to the local Chinese. Okay, pretend that they don't have names........it is chicken farming.
