Reading some of the stats is astonishing - the deal will be the 8th biggest transfer fee EVER and if completed before Torres to Chelsea he will briefly hold the English transfer record. And he's only had half a season! Love it.

Weird to think that Zidane at his peak didnt go for much more than Carroll is now.
 
I'm still appauled it's £20 mil more than Shearer. Carroll's not fit to clean Shearer's boots
