French league is plenty physical and is full of big athletes like the Prem.

He seemed to do pretty well there.

Who actually said that about Sanchez and Ozil?

A sentiment I got at the respective times, from several Arsenal
supporters in person, and observed in Internet land.

That these players were "world class" , and would be the
difference between being serious tile contenders rather than
finishing as PL top 4 shoo-ins.

A sentiment that IMHO was not unreasonable (in the days
before the true effect of the Wenger factor could be seen) .

My main concern now is that..

We have a TINY side again..

Lacazette 5'8
Sanchez 5'7
Lemar 5'7
Ozil 5'10

-We do have Giroud who can come on thankfully (providing we keep hold of him)

Kolasinac will add some much needed physicality but I think if that really is our forward line next Season we will need to add a powerful DM/box to box player like Carvalho.

Chelsea and Tottenham both have quite physical teams and United is assembling a basketball side by the looks of things. We need to make sure we have the right balance - something that has been a problem is the past.

Everyone banging on about his scoring record in the French league but ignoring the fact 10 of these goals were penaltys. I really think he will struggle to hit 12 for the season

Bookmarked :)

We've got Kustard down predicting 8 for Lacazette and you with 12

In which he case he would have surpassed Anthony Martial last Season. <laugh>

I think Lacazette is ready made for the EPL.
Not sure peoples obsession with using the 'French league' as an argument. Its not like theres a long list of hugely successful players like: 'Henry, Pires, Anelka, Cantona, Drogba, Sagna, Evra, Clichy, Nasri, Lauren, Cabaye, Kante, Koscielny, Desailly, Vieira, Wiltord, Blanc,Gallas, Payet, Loris, Lebouef, Djorkaeff, Makelele, Petite..' to have come here from that league...Oh wait.

The French League easily has the most success at producing players to have excelled in the Premierleague.
