He wouldn't refuse to play and score. It's a World Cup coming up. Plus he'd have to impress clubs he'd want a move to. Career suicide to miss a season.
They have rich investors don't they? They wouldn't spend money they didn't have hoping they would make a load in the future.
Mixed feelings. On one hand he was a class young player, and he's wasting away, he's had about 2 seasons or waste. On the other hand. He chose that after taking the money. So serves him right. http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...ort-stoke-launch-gbp12m-delph-bid_302049.html
Jesus Christ!! What a signing this would be!! Go Leicester!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40525149
Great, I hoped he'd move to there and I'm sure with the right coaching, he'll adapt to that role. Edit - I've got my ticket in the Jarrold for the friendly V Brighton!!! 3 weeks Saturday.
He will be needed this season if Thompson's injury setback is half as bad as expected, set to be on the sidelines all season again! Poor bloke, he's been class when I've seen him play, thought this would be his season to make the DM position his own.
This is just insane! They spend so much on players like Costa and Cavaleiro and didn't gain promotion. Yet they can still afford to do this. They won't be investigated again. This guy should be playing for a Europa League side at least. But he'll be playing in the Championship! His wages must be totally insane! http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal.../wolves-announce-ruben-neves-deal_302177.html
Bloody hell, and another class young player. http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal.../wolves-seal-willy-boly-loan-deal_302178.html And Villa who have just agreed to pay about 100,000 a week to Terry, can still afford to go out and continue spending http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...-bruce-new-villa-signing-imminent_302169.html We can't financially compete in this league either.
Ain't that the truth!!!! I've a feeling it's going to be a REALLY competitive league this year and I think it will be very difficult for any team to run away with it. Injuries (or lack of them) could play a huge part.
If I was a Villa fan I would be totally pissed off if we were paying Terry £100,000 a week. He's going to be useless against speedy strikers.
From today's article by PD and MB - "There was the second-half shouting from a captain’s armband-adorned Steven Naismith and the tempestuous edge of Alex Pritchard – all meshed with a tasty first glimpse of Mario Vrancic’s set-piece delivery and James Maddison’s apparent desire to play a bit deeper than the number 10 role most expected." I'd be quite surprised if we don't see this happening in some games, so that DF can play both AP and JM at the same time!!! Early to say this I know, but I think we'll have a team that could seriously exploit Terry this season. The pace and physicality of Jerome will force Villa to play a deep back line, opening up space for Wes, Pritchard or Maddison to wreak havoc.
To be honest I can see a lot of teams running rings around Terry, but with the players you mentioned I agree we should be able to exploit it hopefully.
