Players want to be in a successful setup, we were not that last season, so not surprising that our two best players are being linked away from us, lets hope we have replacements lined up, we definitely do not want a repeat of last season.........
You may well be correct. But I sense that he was not appreciated at Stoke and is likewise not appreciated at Citeh. Playing at the Liberty in front of fans who rate him highly, could (and I mean could, not would or will) re-ignite his form
See Gomis has said a few words "It was not easy for me. It was the first time that I’d left France and the club I signed for (Swansea) is not a well organised club. It was tough as I can’t speak English. So that’s one of the reasons that I can’t perform quite well. I couldn’t really adapt and I wanted to leave.”
"not a well organised club...I can't speak English". Does he mean there were no language classes available ? Gomis promised much for a while. His goal celebrations were rather unusual.
He's probably right about the organisation though. So many decisions made by the club recently have shown very little forward thinking. I'm not surprised by what he said in relation to it.
https://thisisfutbol.com/2017/07/blogs/premier-league/tottenham-eye-onomah-loan-to-secure-mawson/ So this story reckons that in return for us selling Alfie Mawson to Spurs, they will let us have some dude called Joshua Onomah on loan for the season ?????? Why the **** would we take someone on loan as a replacement as part of the deal - unless there's an option to buy at the end. If there's any truth to the story, and we agree to the deal it just reinforces Gomis' statement.
He has a point we were disorganized at the time. Gomis was too good for us not we were too good for him. He has gone from strength to strength and we have got worse. We have a better manager now so i hope we will improve this season ....The Proof we need will be seeing us not conceding the amount of goals we did last season and i want us to not build the team around players that are more likely to leave than not and have replacements in now and not when it is too late to do so like we did with Ash.....I would rather the club prepare for the reality and not on hope will happen....
Nobody wants Mawson to go but we have to look at it from his point of view.....He joined us and he was chuffed as we were a bigger club and he has earned a decent wage but now an even bigger club wants him that will make him an overnight millionaire and a chance of playing CL football and living in London.....What would you do if that chance was presented to you......I would jump at the chance....
He was crap. In his last season we created numerous attacking opportunities and he just stood offside all the time. He neither had the fight nor desire, except during the transfer window period.
Dead right absolute pants even Paloschi and Olliveira were better than him. Would have struggled in the championship.
If we were that good valley we would not have had bad season after bad season....He has shown how good he really is before he came to us and after he left us...I dont think he as anything to prove to anyone and the only good thing was he showed what a poor side we had become....Lets hope Clem can turn things around for our sake, We cant afford another poor season...
