Is it not a simple fact that we played all the players last season and they were all poor. I dont call having one good game as being the standard of player a premiership club should be relying on, There was not an ounce of consistency between the lot of them. We need better players and we need better coaching but i dont think any amount of coaching would improve most of them anyway. Even Rangel puts in a better effort and he is at the end of his playing time. I would keep Mawson but send the rest out on loan or sell if we could and buy some experience bit of quality who has the T-shirt to say they can play at a level we desperately need...

Yeah, theres been a few howlers since we hit the prem, but on the whole we've not done too badly. I think Narsingh was a victim of the formation Clement wanted to play, diamond, which didn't really need wingers. From what I've seen though he's better imo than Montero and Barrow I'd prefer Mawson to stay too but we can't resist an offer like £20m for him can we. He's played one half decent season but under Bewildered Bob he was as bad as every one else. See how it goes, I think he'll stay because I get the feeling that the stories surrounding him as well as Siggy and Llorente are just mischievous stories from journalists needing to fill a page.
Why? The way transfer fees are going it will cost just as much to replace him unless we gamble and go for more maybes which I don't want. Remember we compete in the same league as Spurs etc. and need players of quality to keep doing so.
The Daily Star story must be nonsense as the opening line says "the Gunners looked set to lose Diego Costa" Exactly, it's not as if we're a cash strapped club anymore. I feel it's more down to the player wanting a move more than a club in the PL needing money with these transfers. It just seems pointless trying to find good players on the cheap only to sell as soon as it looks like a profit is to be had. Business is business but for example, if we get £20M for him and happen to spend £10M each on 2 players, financially we're probably worse off as we'd be paying 2 salaries instead of the 1. Just hold on to the player unless he really wants to go.
Narsingh is ok, but when I have watched he is a bit of a headless chicken, I don't think he is an improvement on Routledge or Dyer come to that. PC would regularly play Routledge in his preferred formation with no place for Narsingh. I think wide players has been a big issue for us since we have been promoted and have struggled to find any quality. We need wingers at the club and quality ones as it gives PC the option to change how he plays. Does he play the formation he does because of the lack of quality out wide.
