You know it. 9 points and 9 goals scored, but it'll start to go wrong. The first defeat of the season will happen at home, and then we'll slide into relegation .. (these are not the views of the author, but just thought I'd write this before a former member of the old Archers Road whine got in!)

For me, I'm in dreamland and enjoying it. Lallana and Cork are outstanding, but even injuries or suspensions for either of these wouldn't dent my new found optimism. We have so many good players waiting to get in - Morgan, Lee Barnard for two. Happy Days and I'm going to enjoy it after all the Lowe years. Sorry pessimists, I know I should know better, but can't help myself.<laugh>

Adkins said last night that Morgan Schneiderlin could be one of the best players in the league but he can't even get in the team. I wouldn't want to be inflating his ego too much if he is sitting on the bench all the time. You don't want to be putting it into his head that he is one of the divisions top players in case he starts to want away. Hypothetically speaking of course. His chip last night for Lallana's goal was first class.

Strength in depth isn't something we are used to having, not to this extent anyway. I'm not used to having so many quality players on the bench so I'm sorry if what I said seems a lot of worry over nothing.

Of course it'll end in tears. Everything eventually does. Hopefully, they'll be tears of joy. But if not, what a great run.

I do not think anyone would not say that we are going to be so disappointed when this run ends........Of course there is going to be a defeat. To say though that this will mean we will go straight down to the relegation spots is total defeatism!! Why oh why should that happen, especially with the players available. The start we have had so far is hard to believe, there is no argument there.......Most outside of Saints were saying we would be lucky if we had 3 points by the end of August, with our opening games.......I seem to recall a certain Pompey fan saying in his opinion we would be fortunate to have got any points on the board by the end of August. Hmmm that reminds me.......haven't seen him posting for the last 10 days or so......Wonder why that is?

    Not his views Beddytare.

I think he's just trying to break the cycle of someone potentially whinging by getting in there first.

Each game as it comes, that's what I say! Lets not get carried away but at the same time lets not be pessimistic - lets just enjoy this glorious time to be a Saints fan!

they played fantastic last nite especially going forward. the interplay between virtuallly the whole team going forward was utterly brilliant. if NA can get the CB's a lil more switched on, i don't see any reason why we can't continue where we are. bit optimistic ? maybe but i truely believe as lambo said, some special is going on here. We are playing as well as I knew we could. Top two is a tough task in any league as last season showed. However, one game at a time and let's see where it takes us.

Hey, Beddy. Give me a break! I was Windmillarms on 606, but have gone for a new name 'cos I can. We exchanged a few memories on there. You will remember, like me, the pessimists who moaned about the Keegan and Channon team missing chances (even when they scored 4!) or whinged about Le Tiss being lazy etc etc. I was taking the proverbial, mate. There has never been a better time to be a Saint, even if we don't get promoted this season.

You both need to take the time to read posts and threads more closely. He's already apologised.

I know he has. Just doffing my cap to a fellow crusty, who has no need to apologise in any case. But thanks for pointing it out, and maybe Beddy and I will try to contain our senility!

I suspect we'll win all 46 games this season.
