How long is Barney out for? Connolly attracts a lot of fouls because he is so quick so could easily pick up a knock and although he looks great he is 34. Adkins has already said we won't pay over the odds and if that means missing out on Jay Rod or Maynard then so be it. Get the scouts working and perhaps we'll pick up a loan move from Italy or elsewhere as cover

I hear that zavon hines is out of contract... Has abit of pace on him.. Would not mind saints having a punt with him and then possibly signing say... Ian evett or Cathcart of Blackpool ...

Didn't Hines just sign for Burnley?

    Or was that Sears?

They haven't signed him yet.. But heavily linked.. Surely a move to Southampton would be more better for his career?

I think we need a new CB more than a new striker. Depends who is available though. NA and NC will only buy if the right player is available for the right price. Any player with ambition though would love to be part of our squad currently. One look at how we are performing should sell the club to a potential new signing.

Hines would be good back-up I reckon, but i'm sure he's on his way to Burnley. He hasn't really been given much of a chance yet - I seem to recall him scoring 2 goals on his debut for England U21s though, so he seems useful.

Dipping into the loan market could be the way to go... I reckon there's some gems to be had there
