See. That right there is the difference..

I never have. Nor ever will hide my predjudices when young.

I also will never demy deep down that they are still there. To a much lesser extent.

If that makes me bad. So be it.

Ive been round the world. Got a half asian kid.

Tjhink ive adjusted pretty well. Maybe not 100%. But pretty good
I think it does because you should know better by now, especially having travelled about. I thought you would have just learned there's good and bad in every colour.

You're right that's all it is, older people tend to be more prejudiced because they've had it drilled into them and nowadays kids are almost incapable of recognising differences in skin colour. Generalising obviously.

The people involved are still the same old humans but the world has changed and it's being accepted without question by the young generations.

Read nachos post below yours. Think he has it spot on.

I'd rather my sister with a decent black bloke than a **** of a white bloke. Skin colour isn't important in the slightest.

Goes to show that humans are less evolved than they think when they ostracise each other on such a superficial thing.

No different to animals.

Wrong

We try to right our wrongs.

Some do. Many don't. There's plenty of differences. We can get into space and use weapons of mass destruction but fundamentally we're animalistic. We kill, we rape, we steal, we leave the weak to fend for themselves.

The fact we can spend a months wages in IKEA on ugly looking lamps or say sorry after performing an atrocity (which most don't) doesn't make us much better than animals.

Past is past.

First time I actually met a black bloke was when I signed up..
Big lad called Dave was one of my best marras is the forces. London lad.
I've seen him crack a few heads but he was a great fella.
My daughter is now knocking off a S Korean lad who she met at uni.
I've never met him as his family are loaded & she's ashamed to bring him back to a council estate even though it's a very nice council estate.
She's even learning Korean now ffs.
Poor **** has to go back home after he's done his masters to do his national service.
I've shagged more colours than on a snooker table, except red & blue so I have no problem with it.

My sister in law was seeing a lad from Birmingham who was black. He was boring as **** and his accent was unbearable. There must have been something else about him that she liked.

As long as they're not black and white........

Provided they were decent human beings, made her happy & could work and provide for a family ( if that is what she wanted), I couldn't give a Monkey's

Before your 20s. How many black men did you know?

I never knew any till i was 17. Times have chamged

I still dont know any to talk to. All my friends have been and still are white British. Around Annfield Plain if a black person walks through the place it turns heads. Not because of racism, its just we dont see many black folk about. There is one black child at my daughters school. Canny little chap, nice family. As long as my daughters happy I have no problem with who she ends up with.

This maybe cutting near the mark.

You must log in or register to see media

Was based on one of the bands sisters getting duffed up by a black (is that this weeks term??)

Obviously this was 80s.

How would you feel today if this was your sister?

Should go down like a lead balloon.

I'm not colour prejudice, never have been, but strictly speaking, I guess I am a racist in the true sense of the word. Anyone who has ever been to Angola will back me up here, they are the scum of the earth imo, not because they are black, it's just a cultural thing and I could quite happily drop a nuke on the lot of them.

Rant over.
