Yup. To be fair, scoring is not an issue although I do feel that a specialist #9 would score a bucketload of goals in our team. Sturridge would too if he could stay fit and do his bit to close down.

Would have loved to see him stay and play under Klopp.

 

I think Firmino has the same mentality but lacks the killer instinct

 

I do find it hard to believe we've not even looked at Hernandez at that price! He might not start, but that's some serious squad rotation options up top.

It's also really positive that, should we sign Keita, our first choice midfield 3 of last season will be the second pick now; Henderson, Lallana and Gini. That's good squad depth to have, even if it's a bit tough on Gini in particular who I thought had a great season for us.

Is there a role for Lallana as a false 9? I remember him playing Citeh in 2014/15 season. He seems to be very good at triggering the press. Plus looking at his goals he can finish well

 

Where is Milner going to play if we have a natural LB? Bench? CM? LB?

 

He'll be our utility player, he'll play the odd game here and there. I can see him being involved heavily with the kids in the cup comps.

Another reason why I'm not too keen on The Ox. Milner can be the utility guy, he can play pretty much anywhere if needed.

 

Bench to sit with Henderson.

 

It depends.....really there's a low chance Keita is ever turning up...... but really if you stay looking harshly at this you would be worried in Europe defensively

The issue for me is while there's flexibility in players like coutinho and lallana we are looking at huge talent deficit in controlling midfield and in defence..wewillget reamed in Europe as it stands
