Seems a bit unfair too though in that scenario that Farage would have one supporter in the audience or none. Maybe base it on the vote share rather than number of MPs which would give fairly even split of left and right.

Or just have a debate without an audience
Then the adjudicator would probably get through more questions without having to wait for the hooting and hollering to stop

Wasn't it based on vote share? At the time I thought the loudness of the support for Corbin was due to the fact that his fans were younger, more enthusiastic and more prone to shout than the older Tories just by temperament, in addition to the fact that the Tory supporters had just witnessed a car crash campaign and they were embarrassed by their leader not turning up.

But these audience can be fixed - last year they did a question time from Stratford on Avon near me and a load of UKIP supporting Sikhs dominated the audience through the simple tactic of lying on their application forms.

But then we'd miss out on the gormless members of the public reading questions off cards.

Question time with Nick Griffin, anybody?

Let's face it - we're all OK with a biased BBC or a biased audience, as long as the bias is towards the side we support. That's the human political animal at work. And because politics is dominated by the extremes.

The far right 10%, and the far left 10%, are the most vocal, whilst the rest of us who sit in the middle somewhere just want the noisy ones to shut up so we can get together and do what's best for everyone, whether rich or poor, black or white, gay or straight, male or female, young or old. Everyone deserves the best possible. You don't need to feel criminalised for being successful and wealthy, nor do you need to feel neglected because circumstances dictate you aren't able to provide for your needs. Until we can reject the extremes at either end and pull together to build a Government for everyone (not just the 52%, not just the 48% but the 100%) we will remain a divided nation.

Is there a problem in treating an idiot like Nuttall with derision? Or do you think this was simply because of a left wing bias by the BBC? I don't recall Amber Rudd being treated with derision. But she did have an unenviable task in trying to persuade the audience of her leader's virtues when she had ducked the debate entirely. ut then I suppose you don't agree.

I want ALL laws made here.
I'm not against immigration, but I do want it controlled and I believe Blair's multi-cultural experiment has been a huge failure.
I don't agree that the UK has "****ed up" Brexit, although May has had a mare and the Tories election campaign was the worst I can remember. Davis is doing a good job so far and I believe we'll be ok at the end of negotiations, although things could be a bit bumpy for a while (something I took into consideration when I voted leave).
How on earth is me not giving a **** about one particular quote taking 65% of the UK to Hell in a handcart? Get a grip man!!

I'd rather have any democratically elected Government over being ruled by the EU. I may not like who may be in power, but I can vote them out.
Who are the paramilitaries of which you speak?

Why change what I've written? Can't you present your opinion without mis-representing people?

James Chapman, David Davis' Director of Communications at the Department until the election, says that May has hamstrung the negotiations by her inflexible public pronouncements. The cabinet's leading Brexiters, Davis and Johnson, are actually far more liberal on immigration and the role of the ECJ. Good news, given that she is now a powerless zombie and what she has said in the past and thinks now doesn't matter.

Andrew Marr described her as being 'cripplingly shy'. Surprising that she would want the job if that is the case.

He's one of the best of a very poor bunch imo.
As for May........she clearly isn't cut out for high office and it's only the EU negotiations that have kept her as PM.

I for one am still trying to understand Brexit. Which lies were lesser lies, potential implications of leaving/remaining, which/what law we couldn't control whole as part of the EU etc etc. Every time I feel like I've understood something, it turns out to be fabricated, manipulated or a blatant untruth. We surely should base our opinions and votes on facts rather than suggestions.

3 sackings and a resignation. Labour proving to be as split over Brexit as the Tories. The Blairite v Corbynite struggle runs on. Jeremy, though, proving he really is a Eurosceptic. I knew I liked the bloke.

No Col, I am not complaining about his Brexit work, he just has a reputation of quitting when things get hard.

He is a bit of a flouncer isn't he?

I can't believe all these anti May comments from his former Communications Director (who is also being very flattering about Davis), are unplanned and unsupported by Davis/Johnson. Hammond will also be very happy with them. May really is a waste of space zombie leader, the sooner the Tories do their usual knifing and put her out her misery the better.
