Anyone in 'meltdown' mode over 'losing out' on Adeyemi?

Just trying to wind up. I think it's a shame an academy player has had to sign there, but I didn't want him to sign for us. I think getting rid of Howson and bringing in Adeyemi to replace him would be really bleak.

 

Head count (according to NCFC website): Paul Jones, McGovern, Martin, Klose, Pinto, Godfrey, Dorrans, Naismith, Howson, Jarvis, Hoolahan, Wildschut, Prichard, Jacob M, Tettey, Maddison, Josh M, Louis Thompson, Oliveria, CJ, Carlton Morris. Add in: Watkins, Vrancic, Gunn and Zimmerman. Assuming that it's likely that Dorrans, Howson and Josh M will leave and it's also possible that Naismith, McGovern, CJ, Wildshut (& Jarvis?) could leave. Is this a move to a smaller, meaner squad?

 

If we sell Howson Josh and Jerome it will be far less meaner.

We didn't want him, Cardiff didn't want him, Rotherham took him on loan and were the first team relegated!

What's to get over?

 

Everyone has made mistakes in their past.......he clearly learnt the error of his ways and has chosen a better path I'm all for that.

In all honesty I've no problem with a player that has played for you playing for us.........all players are mercenaries anyway no loyalty to any club.....some will claim loyalty if it suits their narrative.

Good player but he has more chance of playing games at Ipswich.

Definately more likely to get games with us.....hope he can become a good player for us.

What kind of player was he....I know it was five or so years ago?

 

All action holding midfield only about 18 at the time but had bags of energy.

 

£6m? for Howson, £12m? for Josh M, and £1.5m? for Dorrans. Now let's see who we can waste this money on☹️

 

Most of it will be banked and not spent

 

Notwithstanding that we are currently in the Championship, I would wager that if that trio were plying their trade with Southampton you would be looking at £15M for Howson, £26M for Murphy and £4M for Dorrans

Selling Howson for less than we paid for Wildshut or Naismith would be an absolute joke

 

With the money the club spent on Naismith and Wildschut, for example, I can't help but feel the 4m euros for this guy would have been wise and shrewd?

 

I bet it's someone like Boro.

 

It's Birmingham and they can probably afford his wage demand which is why we declined a move for him!
