If you're a fan of Oakham beers, the Glasshouse in Norwich is having an 'Oakham' weekend and currently have 5 different ones on tap. #i'minheaven
Edit - other Wetherspoons may be running the same promotion!! <ale>
I can DEFINITELY recommend the Blue Skies IPA at 6% - it went down very well. <cheers> <cheers>
Had a few by that point had you?! Your vision is blurry!

Sounds nice! Possibly.

The one thing I thought about those places. People have to either live in that area of drive there and back don't they? I was thinking, If we wanted to do that on a night out, getting a train or Bus in, Park and ride, usual City Car Parks we know, would still mean a really long walk to The Plasterers, and Even more Fat Cat Brewery Tap. That was such a long walk! Such steep hills. I can't imagine fitting both of them into a night out in the City.
Duke of wellington is well worth a look lots of nice ales bbq fri sat and sun and lovely beer garden

Down in Watford for my brother's funeral (he was 91 and my younger brother!!!) and went to the Weherspoons Moon Under the Water for a few beers and a bite to eat. Real Ales @ £2.39 a pint!!! [HASHTAG]#idontbelievit[/HASHTAG]

Sorry to hear of your loss mate. Hope you are ok.

Thanks FML and I'm absolutely fine, as my brother had been very poorly for a long time and it was a relief in the end.

then they opened the Fat Cat Brewery Tap (formerly the Denmark) and then the Fat Cat and Canary (formerly the Mustard Pot).
Sorry JM, but the Denmark was further up Sprowston Rd opposite the lighting shop.
FCT used to be the Wherry, a (grotty) Whitbread pub <ok>
I used to manage the Branford Arms (RIP) so did 'the rounds' on my nights off.

Yes Cromer, you're quite right - apologies.

So the Bell reopens on Tuesday and they aim to have 12 real ales on at any one time (s I should be able to find one I like - I MIGHT have to go and have a look!!!! <cheers>

I'm curious to see the enlargements / improvements to the place - it was closed for months!
Ideal for me if I have to change buses in Castle Meadow from the NNUH to Cromer <ok>

It was closed for 5 months instead of 4 and there is a huge bar upstairs and over 100 extra seats - I'm sure you'll approve and I'll give you my thoughts if I'm sber enough on Tue night!!!!

The guy interviewed said 6 trad ales and 12 craft beers.
But I did espy an Abbot pump clip, so that's me happy!!
The cellar looks bloody amazing - I've spent ages in pub / hotel cellars before now having worked in the trade, but that one is all singing and dancing - totally automated line-cleaning?! <cheers>

Yes Cromer, it dies seem money well spent and the cellar looks superb.
We'll have to 'agree to disagree', as for me, my choice of ale is 'ABA' anything BUT Abbott - though I know lots of people like it and I much prefer nearly all of the 'Oakham' ales and the odd pint of Jaipur!! <cheers>

Plough on St Benedicts. Lovely place, ale from "Grain Brewery" which I had never heard of. Turns out they are new and based in Harleston which is about 15 minutes from where I grew up. Lovely Indian pale ale.

You wouldn't know from the street that this place has a lovely beer garden, very big, plus a built in area to BBQ! Will come back here one night. Check out the atmosphere, I recon it would be great.

15 mins from Harleston? Are you a Pulham Pig?
