The Tigers can confirm a third friendly fixture has been added to our pre-season schedule.

Leonid Slutsky’s men will face French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes at Hull Kingston Rovers KCOM Craven Park Stadium on Tuesday 25th July (KO 7.30pm).

Nantes, who have won the French title eight times, finished seventh in Ligue 1 last season and are managed by former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri.

The decision to play at Hull Kingston Rovers’ KCOM Craven Park was to allow time for the KCOM Stadium playing surface to recover after pitch renovations.

Tickets details for the fixture will be announced in the coming weeks.

Look out for further pre-season fixture announcements in due course.

Wow.

Just wow.

We've never played on the Dark Side before.

No idea what the pitch is like there, but suspect it will be well below Championship standard, so might just be a good excuse to run around for 90 mins rather than actually sharpen up skills and moves.

Never thought I'd see the day when we played at Caravan Park - still can't decide whether it's a new low or a new frontier.

Ha ha, I trust your comment is tongue-in-cheek - the pitch is an absolute belter!

A ground more suited to what's sure to be a sparse attendance and a 'sort-of-throwback' to The Kempton down the east side. I'm looking forward to it. I think.

I'm looking forward to it as well - it'll be like a home/away game combined.

Wonder how they'll accommodate the corporates though - part of the contract is free admittance to all home games.

Maybe the SMC groundsmen have been providing 'help' with the pitch?

Does this mean we can finally get a 10/10 for entertainment and atmosphere???

According to 'some' they'll be fans from other clubs.

The Tigers will face Portuguese Champions Benfica in the latest fixture to be added to their pre-season schedule.

The game will be played in Portugal as part of the Club's pre-season training camp and will take place on Saturday 22ndJuly at the Estadio Algarve (KO 8.30pm).

Benfica won last season's Primeira Liga, finishing six points clear of nearest rivals Porto, and will provide a stern test for Leonid Slutsky's side.

It means the Tigers now have four confirmed pre-season fixtures, as listed below:

Saturday 15th July: Oxford United - Estadio Da Nora, KO 6.30pm

Wednesday 18th July: Bristol Rovers - Estadio Da Nora, KO 6.30pm

Saturday 22nd July: Benfica - Estadio Algarve, KO 8.30pm

Tuesday 25th July: FC Nantes - KCOM Craven Park, KO 7.30pm

If this had of happened 12 hours after a football match, miles away from the ground, like outside of a night club, this fella would be looking at a two year jail stretch now. But in the cosy world of rugby league kick someone in the face who is already on the ground, on the pitch, inside the ground two foot away from a copper and you get........a stiff letter of warning ' don't do it again'
