On another note, I find it hilarious that some websites are so desperate to generate click-through's to their crap regurgitation of every other rumour mill that they label Adeyemi as "£638k-valued star" in the title. That's his value ripped straight from transfermarkt. Which is of course irrelevant when he's a free agent, even if it did have any basis in reality at other times.

The only positive out of today's loss against Germany is Jacob was pretty crap and all the hype will hopefully die down .

As this has dragged on - as most / all NCFC transfers do, for at least a month, and counting, it seems mighty pathetic to still refer to it as a "swoop"
A 'swoop' is quick, impulsive, out of the blue, as in birds of prey, not a long protracted month+ long affair.
No doubt there'll be much more 'swooping', 'snapping up' etc before the window eventually 'slams shut'
