We asked if they had enough seasonal workers for the start of the main picking season:
- 32% said they weren't sure
- 18% said they had slightly fewer than they needed
- Just over 3% reported having many fewer than required
- 42% said they had just enough
- 1% said they had more than enough
The Times today : only one British applicant to work for between £8.50-9.50 an hour at a fruit farm in last 5 years. He quit after one day.

Actually it was 21% without enough staff, 53% either without enough or not sure if they'd have enough

The real concern is these food producers go bust if they can't get staff
Always had Strawberries,how come we never had a problem for hundreds of years picking then before the EU.Tell the 1.6 million,go pick strawberries that are looking for workYes that would work
