Mohamed Salah will cost £34.3m; meaning Andy Carroll will remain Liverpool's most expensive player for the time being. [HASHTAG]#lfc[/HASHTAG] [Paul Joyce]
Only really comparable if we'd just got £100m for Studge and blew £60m on Troy Deeney.

FFS............turning down a chance to rid ourselves of Moreno.
My post was partly tongue in cheek, I think we will have more offers for him.I agree, but...
Providing we do buy a proper left back this season (and reasonable cover) I'd keep Moreno as cover for left midfield unless we get @ £15m. It is bloody tempting though.

and for the second time todayLiverpool have rejected an £11m offer from Napoli for Alberto Moreno. [HASHTAG]#lfc[/HASHTAG] [Paul Joyce]

But I don't really want him playing for us ever again![]()
I think we paid £10m for him? We could turn a tidy profit if we are patient............crazy though reallyand for the second time today
this just proves football has lost all sense of value for money.
we haven't got another LB that is the problem - didn't you notice Milner (a MF) played LB all season.Considering Napoli, Sevilla and both Milan clubs want him, I think we're right in holding out for a better fee. Now if only we can get rid of the other useless left back....

with your grasp of economics you could be the shadow chancellorI think we paid £10m for him? We could turn a tidy profit if we are patient............crazy though really

We will have incoming cash from sales too of course. The bottom line is we need a first choice quality LB, Milner for cover, and Moreno gone. And i agree with you. But, and here's my point again, we don't need to sell unless that money is directly needed for a proper left back. There were stories of a £200m net transfer kitty this summer if we got into the CL. I have a feeling it'll be nearer £100m if that, and that'll only kick in IF we win our qualifier - so God help us if we get a draw that necessitates getting these marquee players in BEFORE the tie.
jeez Jim this proves my point£11m for a relatively young defender isn't that bad. He's incredibly raw but he's not as bad as some make out.
£11m is worth taking a punt on - proven by the fact that some decent teams are in for him.
jeez Jim this proves my point
the fees today are so ridiculous that someone who was considered so bad at his job an ageing midfielder ,who for the past few seasons had just been a squad player, was considered more suitable by a highly rated manager yet a rational arguement can be made for him being "worth" more than £11m.
madness i tell you

Liverpool enquired about Benjamin Mendy but resigned to situation that Mendy will join Man City.

When do we find out who we will face in the qualifier?![]()
