My understanding is that the person buying the ticket has to pay a 7.50 quid charge over and above the face value of the ticket, better, but still not good.The upside is that if the ticket is resold by ticketmaster both the season ticket holder plus the purchaser get loyality points.

And paying for a season ticket is a bloody nightmare. I entered my credit card details, it went through the usual credit card payment process and then took zero from the card. It told me to log back into my account after 24 hours to pay or, if I wanted to pay immediately, ring some silly phone number. Owing to my love of telephone answering machine payment systems I have decided to wait until tomorrow. All very spursey.

Could be worse, out of morbid curiosity I went to Bugatti's site to spec my own Veyron, and after filling out the online forms you had to print them off and fax them to some bloke named Gilles somewhere in the Pyrenees.

Very weird system, isn't it?
Not sure how much that had to do with the club or Ticketmaster, as it didn't reflect my experience with either.

Interesting to see how this will work out with so many new season ticket holders and a brand new system.
Seems much fairer and less prone to exploitation than StubHub, though.
Time will tell if that initial feeling is accurate.
