Didn't it come to light that the said game( At Huddersfield ) was Hull City fans that where fighting.
Was more of a Hull City v Leeds United spat if I remember rightly ???
No it ****ing didn't. Within hours of the pitch invasion and the pulling down of the goal posts were shown live on the BBC the attempt to shift the blame to football fans and Hull City had begun. Fanned mostly by RH and the HDM. City fans were even accused of breaking into the FC shop the night before and stealing FC replica shirts to discredit the rugby club ! The most damning evidence was produced by a 14 year old who said he picked up a piece of paper on a pub car park 20 odd miles from the ground which had written on it something about Hull City fans turning up at Huddersfield. No one else saw this evidence but the HDM carried the 'breaking news' non the less.
The facts that every FC fan on the pitch that afternoon were wearing FC replica shirt's dating back several years had nothing to do with it because the die had been cast and the blame lay squarely on football and Hull City because the myth that you don't get trouble at rugby league had to be preserved at all costs. And you swallowed it hook line and sinker.

Not sure about that pal.
There was a few lads out that day for a piss up and a Ruck.
Let's for arguments sake say they where Hull City/Hull FC fans and let this argument lie shall we.
Thanks...Good Lad.

I

think you might find that explanation not that far off.
Of course there was other fans involved as well.
Yeah, not far off, just a bus ride! What team was the oaf with the top hat sat astride the posts 'supporting'?

I can actually give the genuine explanation regarding the City leaflets found that day. Guy I used to know years ago was and still is city barmy. Used to leave leaflets promoting city all over. Just daft stuff. Nothing aggressive. He went that day to watch the rugby and left stuff on cars. He lives in the Cheshire area and is a solicitor. Can still laugh at the orient play off match away as he tried to explain to some bloke who city where. Bloke spoke no English. True story behind the myth

I can understand why some Tubby Lard types believe it was City fans- after all, most local RL fans only travel along the M62, and Huddersfield is already too far to travel for many.

Pointing out that someone's being a dick isn't in any way an indication you're not 'tough'.

Also, just to make your blood boil, the biggest away following at the KCOM this year is Cas Tigers, that tiny town, minority sport team from down the M62 .

So you don't think MU, Newcastle, Lpool, Chelsea, Arse, MCiteh, Everton, Sunderland I think you get the message wouldn't beat the Cas support<doh>

I know who he is then. His innocent leaflet was the evidence HDM and RH used to shift the blame onto Hull City when it had **** all to do with us.
