Well I hope one of us wins! (Preferably me though ) And the French filly who won a G3 lto doesn't improve to beat both the raiders!
You can stick your fancy group races in France, today is all about the Balloo Vets Handicap Hurdle over at Downpatrick 3.35. Drumsheil 8/1 was taken out earlier this week having been smashed in the betting. He was 25/1 last night and now as low as 5s. It's the old tried and tested formula, shown nothing so far, first time in a handicap on good ground and upped in trip. Also think Dougan 6/1 is handicapped to go well in the 4.00 @ Donny. Singles and an ew double. Good luck all, Bon chance!
Terrakova 11/2 and 33s for the Arc afterthought for Rhododendron and Shutter Speed price not taking into account that Enable was a non trier at Newbury and has improved well over a stone on that run since
2yo Arabian Gift runs in the 2.30 at Doncaster. With Appleby in such sparkling first-time-out form you'd think he'd be favourite but Quvery (Noseda/Spencer) seems to be first choice. Arabian Gift is a Ballymacoll bred colt by Dubawi out of Golan's full-sister Gift Range. All the foals have looked terrific but been rogues. Will this one be different? I rather think this may be a betting opportunity with Mark Johnston's One Second (EW). Quite a hot maiden for a Doncaster Sunday meeting
She's unwanted by the market, best price all week 10/3 and 11/2 today. Alarm bells ringing. The form of her maiden win leaves a bit to be desired and she will have to improve a lot to upset the front pair in the betting. That said, she may well do so. Looking forward to seeing this race today.
Rhododendron wasnt in the market when she was 10/3, been 6/1 since that was put in Shutter Speed was 4/6, now shes 9/4, no alarm bells, just a group 1 filly been added to the race Form wise, the Group 3 she won looks like Group 3 form, wouldnt say Shutter Speeds was any better but both fillies obviously fancied on potential rather than form, Obrien filly has the form.
This was during the week and also up to yesterday, Rhodedendron was in there when I looked. Only thing then is maybe they had not updated it correctly. Either way, Terrakova will have to improve substantially to beat either. She did win well enough on debut to suggest she may and at 11/2 there is a bit of value.
Going to how three darts today, why not it's a Sunday! Cork 2.50-Alphabet win 9/2-Was only beaten by 1/2 length lto out in a group three race at the Curragh and this looks a slightly easier race.Skybet are also refunding bet if your selection finishes second. Cork 3.20-Glamarous Approach 2/1 win.I put this filly up when she powered home at the Curragh last week and although this looks a tougher assignment she looks progressive and can oblige.Yard also in great form. DP 4.05-Bertie Bell win 9/2.This lad could be to good for them here, has scored at the track twice before.
Must not have been updated, it looked like she was going to go 5/2 from 10/3 midweek, then when Rhododendron came in she was put out to 5/1 6/1. Not sure how she has to improve substantially to beat Shutter Speed, both fillies are on my list so no favouritism, Raheen House was well beaten by Khalidi in a listed race and the two fillies she beat in the Musidora are Group 3 at best, the second in that race was rated 76 going into it and the 3rd Serenada needs further. As I said in first post, people going on about Shutter Speed as if she beat the same Enable who won the Oaks. Shutter Speed still has to step up massively to match Rhododendrons form, but she looks classy. At the prices I have to back the French filly, Shutter Speed is the one who is under priced on what she has actually achieved.
Mask Of Time 5/2 in the Hocquart, been running over much shorter but bred to stay and the others dont do anything quickly
Afternoon all The first at Doncaster looks like it could go anyway so I am opting for the 66/1 shot Jacob black with the trail of duck eggs. Back on turf down in class and on his lowest mark .
I just hope when Shutter Speed or Rhodedendron win you are still not calling a win for yourself...again it's Terrakova or bust for you in this Edward and that's that ok. Terrakova definitely has to step up to improve if she's to beat O'Brien's horse.
Senga & Onthemoonagain both 12/1 both ew to take on the favourites over in France rev fc for good measure
