Who's the one player you've most admired playing for us dahn our ground?

Paolo for me. I know his little star was fading when he joined but it was just that feeling and optimism that he could do anything and turn a game.

The Chelsea Boxing day thrashing is still probably my most treasured memory.

I'm sure some of the older fans will produce some interesting characters that us young'uns have missed out on

Paddy/Jonny Robinson, always gave 100% and could both beat their man and cross. Paddy made Killer look good and Robbo & Shaun provided the bullets for Donks <ok>

Richard Rufus for me. He just was an excellent pro and went about his job in a no nonsense fashion that I quite enjoy, especially being a centre half myself.

A question that's been asked a million ties in many varying forms...

However, my answer is the same each and every time... Richard Rufus. In his prime the fella was simply immense. A true out and out defender who never gave anything less than 100% whenever he pulled on the shirt of our beloved club. A true Charlton legend in every sense...!!

I would agree with you Kish re Di Canio. Yes he was on the downward slope somewhat by the time he made it to our gaff, but he is without doubt the most gifted player I've ever seen in a Charlton shirt. He could do things that I've never seen anyone do before. I'm not old enough to remember Allan Simonsen. My late father used to rave about him stating on many occasions that he was absolutely magic. For me Pauo was really special...!!
