Why am I coming off as knobbish? All I'm doing is responding with reasons why it's a good move for Maguire and telling people how we're aiming for Europe and will be spending big this summer. What's wrong with that? It's true so I don't get why I'm being knobbish for saying it? I've not said anything remotely derogatory about Hull either. If it's about my comments about Spurs and Everton, there's nothing there I'm saying that's wildly inaccurate either. I do think Spurs will struggle at Wembley, Everton will be screwed without Lukaku and we can afford to spend more than both on fees and wages.

Last season Ranieri decided we had to evolve our style of play and make us more possession based but we don't have the players to play that way so they didn't know what they were doing. It was either Drinky or Kasper after the United game actually said "we don't know what the **** we're doing" and you could see the instructions and tactics were all over the place. He had the defence pushing up but stopped us from pressing from the front so teams just cut through us and our back line was so easily exposed. In fact he stopped us pressing completely, he wanted us to drop off but you could see some players going to press because that's what came naturally to them only for them to drop off and try to get back into position. It was an absolute shambles. Shakey just asked them to do what they know best and got results because he recognises their strengths and let's them do the rest.
You can afford to spend more than spurs? Whys that? Genuine question

Also for the record "Shakey" will be gone before January is out, Leicester have made a grave mistake letting the tail wag the dog in the manner they have. Should have replaced him this summer with a manager they see as suiting their philosophy. Any players not adhering to that can be moved on.

As knobbish as he's coming off, he is right that Ranieri insisted on changing the style and telling players like Vardy not to run as much, leading to a marked decline in form of a number of players.

Them winning the title was a great spectacle. But it was a fairly flukey and will probably never happen again.

The traditional top 4 all having a poor seasons and in complete disarray. The Kante factor - as demonstrated in one season at Leicester and then Chelsea - back to back titles. Unlikely to be repeated again by one of the less fashionable clubs.

Sorry yeah I was more saying he was right that Ranieri was the cause of then being so rubbish this season.

I really don't know why anyone was surprised by this. I posted before it happened that he has done it his entire career - start off brilliantly and then a year to 18 months in it all goes wrong. Hence me saying he'd be sacked by Christmas after winning the league and 2 months out wasn't bad.

I always felt that Ranieri just got lucky, and the team just gelled and was a one off miracle. With Tommy Docherty at Chelsea in the sixties I always felt he was lucky to have a Chelsea team that had huge success, after that he lived off that success for years, but never really pulled up any trees after that, including a spell with us.

Maguire is going to be on over £80k pw at Leicester on a 5 year deal.

That's literally life-changing for him. Wish him the best luck in the world.

For me, he didn't get anywhere near enough chances with us (before Marco) as he should have.

That Steve Bruce was **** and couldn't spot a player.

He may be able to spot them, well defenders anyway, but apart from Robertson he never played them. We lost Ince, and nearly Maguire cheaply last year because of this. He only bought them because we were supposed to have European football, if not he wouldn't have touched them.

Perhaps Harry was a little 'raw' and needed time to learn his trade. If he'd thrown him straight into the team he could have seriously struggled and never recovered. It happens all the time.

Because we have zero debt while Spurs are building a new stadium for a start but more importantly, our owners are more ambitious and are willing to spend more money on fees and wages.

Levy has said he won't increase their salary cap whereas we already have four players on more than their highest and are willing to make Sigurdsson our highest paid player so it'll be well over £100k/week. Even Maguire is getting £80k/week, the same as Lloris.

That's why I say we can spend more than them. Lukaku is on £90k and is their highest paid. We're worth more than them now as well and that's legit plus they have debt where we don't. We both want Sigurdsson but we've said we'll just outbid them because he's our primary target and we'll most likely pay him the £120k/week he wants whereas Everton won't.

Our owners are looking to emulate City and Chelsea and that's not me talking nonsense, they're looking at them and thinking "why not us?" and they have the money and the ambition to acheive it. Our future plans are amazing and I've heard it directly from the boardroom.

Hope that explains why I say that.

Sorry but young players need to play. Everyone moans that young players don't get enough opportunities

Paying Maguire the same as Lloris and only a little less than Lukaku isn't something I'd be boasting about.
