I'm far from a definite yes, but for that type of fee you don't get quality, unless you go young and hope it works out. He's better than what we had on our bench for most of the season.....not that that means much!! Either way it's a rubbish transfer that won't really effect much.
Wow if tadic is going for 13m, that is a steal in todays market. Would be a signing on par with Wanyamas in pyjamas at 11m. He's actually a pretty decent player. The only thing is his end product is a bit shady but that is a super defensive Soton side and he has the likes of 1 striker to feed in shane long and charlie austin
honestly i'd rather play Woodburn & not convinced the present day Tadic is better than Woodburn. Edit - decided better check his stats and actually on that front 15/16 was pretty good but 16/17 a bit meh with 33 apps 3 goals (1 pen) 5 assists.
Kind of my thinking but everyone is expecting world class marquee signings only... Just keeping it real
Woodburn isn't ready yet and will get his game time in the league cup etc. He needs a year or two more before really being considered tbh. I'd rather have Tadic as a sub than some of the **** we had on our bench last season!
Liverpool have been installed as favourites to sign Southampton winger Dusan Tadic, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds. The Times claim Liverpool are willing to splash out £13million to sign the 43-time Serbia international, in order to meet the former FC Twente man’s release clause while West Ham are also monitoring his situation
TADIC AT 13MIL I presume we are going to meet every southmapton players release fee til they have no players left and get relegated thus releasing vvd to us??? nonsense. The guy is simply not up to the level. he is too inconsistent. was good in first year, not so good the second and third.. well it was up and down...
My thinking is this. We sign Tadic, this forces Soton to sign someone new. We buy that guy in January.
13:05: Brendan Rodgers is looking to former club Liverpool to bolster his Celtic squad. According to the media, Rodgers wants to bring midfielder Ryan Kent to Celtic Park this summer. Kent, 20, spent last season on loan with Championship outfit Barnsley, where he made 44 appearances - notching up three goals and three assists. Celtic might not have it all their own way because Leeds have also been credited with interest. 11:45: Premier League newcomers Brighton are heading for a transfer scrap with Liverpool. The Reds have been linked with Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer after seeing their pursuit of Virgil van Dijk go up in flames. But Chris Hughton’s side could throw a spanner in the works. Turkish website Fotomac claim Brighton will challenge for the Denmark international and are prepared to offer £7.5million for his services. 11:20: Arsenal are planning a double raid on relegated Sunderland 11:20: Arsenal are planning a double raid on relegated Sunderland. According to the Sunderland Echo, the Gunners are eyeing deals for Black Cats youngsters Joel Asoro and Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka. Asoro, a Swedish centre-forward, has made one senior appearance in the Premier League, while Mbunga-Kimpioka has yet to break into the squad. It’s believed Arsenal will offer £5million for the pair and Sunderland look set to approve the sale. Southampton, Everton and Liverpool were credited with interest in Asoro - but Arsene Wenger’s side look set to prevail.
I'd rather not, Tadic is rubbish. Its a ploy to get Roma to lower their terms for Salah by making it look like we've move on. Either that or the papers just like stirring **** between us and Soton
All I know is that we are not in position to buy any player for £70M to £100M. Certainly not this season
4th most assists in the PL in the last 3 seasons... Agree he's not good enough for you lot though. Suspect it's nonsense anyway, he signed a new deal last year so why on Earth would we put a release clause in for only a bit more than what we paid for him?
This is the same Dusan Tadic who is so inconsistent that he has more goals and assists than Coutinho in the previous year and the year before despite playing less minutes than coutinho? This year there hasn't been a contest but the previous two years under a more attacking manager, his record is better than world class coutinho. 13m is a snip at that sort of output. His output is also far better than Lallanas who you forked out 27m in a far lower market than the current one
