As I read it, the DUP won't vote against May in a vote of no confidence, but all other issues are on a vote for vote basis. If 10 DUP MPs can hold May to ransom what will the EU do?
Suella Fernandes. She is awful and very bigotted towards the EU. If the Germans reject Merkel, a Conservative should want her to lead the party. Failing that, Sarkozy. It is time the party looked outwards and beyond.
Would Boris appeal to the regular Tory supporter? I can certainly see him turning off the floating voters, should there be another referendum, simply by his association with the £350m per week extra for the NHS, which hasn't appeared. Add the fact that he comes across as a bumbling buffoon, who makes more gaffes than Diane Abbot, then as a Labour supporter, I think he would be a gift. I also wonder if the rest of Europe see him in the same way as this comedy show portrayed him.
Cartoon above noted: can I mention again that phenomenon called Election Fatigue or Voter Fatigue. Who actually gets tired getting a chance to have a genuine say in what happens.? Of course if we had PR and made it illegal not to vote without a decent reason then we could seriously say we were all having an effect. But just over 69% voted this time. Presumably the rest of the able-bodied were trying to sleep off all that previous cross scratching with a pencil of the last 12 months.

We should all listen to the lyrics to this brillant Mark Knopfler song before we divorce ourselves from the EU.
I'm not a lyrics man TBH. Love Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler but I'm much more a music man that just sings whatever the words are without thinking too much about what they mean. "It's a mystery to me, the game commences" or "I'd like to go to work, but they shut it down, I've got a right to go to work but there's no work here to be found." I know what Mark was probably meaning on the latter but it applies equally to this region now!
I think the track was used in the last series of Auf Weidersen Pet. The strength of the lyrics is the picture is portrays of young males leaving an economically depressed area of the UK, and going across the North Sea to make a relative fortune. There is plenty of irony in the lyrics, but also plenty of questions that need to be debated and answered .
Knopfler has been writing about that for years. Expresso Love where the lyric I posted. Tunnel of Love about the run down fairground. Lots of songs about the depressed North East. Got all the Dire Straits albums. I spent my youth listening to Rage against the machine and banging out the lyrics without ever thinking too much about their meaning. It's strange 25 years after their debut album that there are so many left leaning folks asking how righties can say they are into RATM. My answer is the same there. Great riffs, Great tunes. There is at least 1 question a day on Quora having a go at right leaning folks saying they like RATM. It would be a tough life if right wingers had to search around for right wing music because there isn't that much around. Maybe Kate Bush seeing as she is a Thatcher fan.
Oh no!....sweet Kate who duetted with Peter Gabriel on this classic song about the tragedy of life under Thatcher, Don't Give Up, a Thatcherite?...man i'm disillusioned about that....
The reality is that she is not very political at all and not really Thatcherite but the media took one statement about May and jumped all over it resulting in the now inevitable twitter storm of instant calls for boycotts based on 1 sentence. Same as with politics really. This modern world knows how to make 1 innocent statement become the worst thing that someone could ever say. No wonder politicians dare not say anything that isn;t on the speech and hasn't been gone over by a team of checkers: http://www.dazeddigital.com/music/article/33873/1/kate-bush-theresa-may-is-wonderful
