    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...g-scottish-tory-breakaway-challenges-theresa/

Even most Tories have moved on from the 20th century. Don't want to get too carried away, but even the Tories themselves won't last forever with a UK version of some Christian, fundamentalist, evangelical, paramilitary US style cranks. And their progressives like Davison have never stopped wanting a single-market, customs union 'soft' Brexit.

As long as the Tories still think the U-25's are politicised and ready to vote again, all smugness and arrogance has gone. Keep it up kids - you have more power now than you ever knew. Just a pity it came a year too late for Brexit.

As well as Corbyn has done recently, it took him long enough to get his game on.

At the end of the day the Tories campaign was crap, Corbyn had a blinder with a manifesto of debt and bribing students, and still he could not win. I think we will have another election within the year with the Tories under new leadership.

Imagine Corbyn v Boris, it will be like watching an episode of Laurel & Hardy.

Corbyn has proved himself a very capable politician despite the media campaign against him. He deserves more credit than a comparison to Boris Johnson.

As I said Corbyn played a blinder, but he just promised the world to students, pensioners, nhs workers, schools, etc. No way could the country afford it, but instead of attacking his policies May committed political suicide with the dementia tax, etc.

The problem with politicians now is they are all so concerned with ratings and appearing PC they neuter themselves. Compared to politicians of the past they are political pygmies.

Does nobody think that corbyn is getting too much credit AND getting far to carried away with himself?

    1. He didnt set the total agenda. He didnt run the socual media. That was a big part where activists can take a lot of credit.

    2. He had the luck of may messing up. Calling election, bad manifesto, no debates.

    3. Did do well in debate and q and a thing but just had luxury of promising the earth to everyone from a cant lose position..

But most of all... he seems to think hes the pm now. Its a big mistake imo starting to do shadow queens speeches and **** rather than focusing on the reality that he is in the same position he was 2 weeks ago really. May is weaker and he has more seats but he is not in power.

Focus on may and nail the tories.. forget pretending you are in power on a head trip.

You know books need to balance right and then the eu want 50 bil to get out... and italy are rich too but so loaded with debt the interest payments prevent any scope for change.

So..... no we cant just afford anything.

We cant afford tories rewarding the ultra rich either.

The very best result is corbyn is not going to dissappoint anyone by failing to live up to hype.

So we can afford to cut corporation tax but can't afford to cut student fees? Sounds realistic.

the problem with funding tuition fees now is the sheer numbers going to university.
Have to say tuition fees doesn't appear to put people off going.

Of course we could afford it if our government didn't spend all its time trying to make rich people even richer.
    Not gonna happen though.
