As neither Sinn Fein nor Labour are forming the government it's hardly relevant. For the first time more that 50% of the votes in NI went to non Unionist parties.
Think I'll give this place a miss for a bit. Not sure I can handle all the gloating!! This was an anti-austerity result, pure and simple. Some are trying to say that it is an anti-brexit result, but if that were the case, the Lib Dems would have had a much larger share. Interesting time ahead. Politics? I've **** it!!
You didn't even get a season ticket out of the fiasco, bad luck mate. You may well be right about austerity, in the end that's what I voted on.
Strange that we've heard nothing from Lord Mandelbore, who said at the start of the campaign that Labour would be also-rans and never win with a left-wing manifesto. Labour may not have won but May has been left as the lamest of lame-ducks, getting into bed with the ragbag DUP she is just three rebels away from losing key votes. I just can't see her surviving more than six months especially if Brexit talks look gloomy...
Owen Smith was big enough to admit that he'd underestimated Corbyn, so he'll be up for a Cabinet post in October.
Phew! I was worried that her number's up for a moment. Then it occurred to me that she doesn't have a grip on her numbers...
So we'll be sending the Conservative and Unionist Negotiating Team to Brussels, there's a wonderful acronym there...
Maybe they could go with The Welsh Assembly Team, or the Federal Union of Conservative Kinship Working In Total Secrecy...?
She did once try making love by numbers, but sadly for Jezza, she couldn't remember what came after 68
Don't know if this has been posted before. If so, apologies... http://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/w...e-dup-dark-money-and-a-saudi-prince-1.3083586 Worth a quick read.
I dreamed last night that I was stuck in a lift with Abbott and Corbyn. She couldn't remember the number of the floor and he wouldn't press the button.
