This is what soton are counting on, gets them out of having to pay any bonus. Also appeases the fans by say 'look we did everything we could, its the players/buying clubs fault'. Did the same with Lovren. We did the same with Torres (although we didn't go crying to the PL about it)
It's all your fault Jimmy. We will just have to stick with Lovern unless you can debit the Liverpool current account and credit Southampton and falsify some papers #banker.
I agree, he's a good player but we can split that fee in 2 and get a midfielder and defender from another league. £75M is basically saying "**** off Liverpool we're trying to take City to the cleaners here and you're causing problems".
There is definite interest in Bayern Munich's Douglas Costa while Senegal winger Keita Balde of Lazio is also being monitored. (Echo)
Would make sense. Especially f go 433 as would have no natural cover for Mane and salah. Assume markovic will will be off this summer either on a loan or for £5-10m
If we are interested in Costa then why are we bothering with Salah? Costa is the better player by a distance imo.
Yup. Id presume lfc want to buy a couple at a reasonable price prior to looking ridiculous buying a cb for mad noney
Yeah shouldnt have told us klopp tapped him up. You know we cant keep a secret. I only told 3 people. Tony barrett, james pearce and my bookie
If I was buying 2 then this Martins wouldn't be one, Costa and Keita can play off either side Salah I've not seen anything to show that he's going to able to play on the left. It's probabaly all nonsense anyway we'll see soon enough.
I think Salah is the safer option plus his output is insanely good. On his day, Costa is unplayable. But he suffers from inconsistency and his output is not great. Keita Balde is a very interesting link - highly rated.
I really think we do because Klopp knows that Salah and mane need cover, plus both will be off to AFCON.
Wherever VVD is playing his football next season, it would be ironic if he trod on Vardy's foot and put him out for half a season. Not out of malice. Just a sense of irony.
