I was responding to a comment posted by Tobias - nothing at all to do with Afro Stan - yet, up he pops, like a turd that simply won't flush.

I dont carry arguments or "beefs" across threads, and when you made a relevant post, I posted a relevant response.

I actually think the thread was set up with a wum glance at Hiag - as usual from Piskie, but it had developed into something else and really should have stayed like that. But unfortunately it's probably spoiled now, and you have taken off down the same path that you are criticising. Should have stayed above that ****, then I would have had sympathy for your point of view.

If Bod's opening post on this thread had been "Nice thread, Pix, but cut the **** aimed at HIAG, yeah?" and if when the rest of 'Pede followed up with their ****, Bod had written "Hey, lads! Cut out the **** aimed at HIAG, yeah?" he would have earned the right to get himself into a lather with me.

But he didn't do that.

What he did was to completely avoid any criticism of Pixie or the 'Pede, and launch into a diatribe against me.

Well, he can **** right off!

What I don't like is the double-standard that is continuously applied. By all means let me know when you think I have stepped over the line, but do the same with others. What you will find, Bod, is that on my side of the argument you are only having to have a pop at me, whereas on the other side of the argument, you will be having a pop at 6 or 7 posters.

Me and Piskie have had a fair few rows over the years.
Its not like I have some Pro-Piskie agenda (look what i said about him in your sig ffs!).

But what I saw was this thread ticking over nicely, with some interesting discussion (a rarity on the PL board these days), and then you came in and responded to a one liner Piskie had made 4 pages back and derailed the thread. And yes, I realise the irony of me attacking you further derailed the thread, but I just get so sick of every ****ing thread turning into a ****ing HIAG and HIAGettes Vs Piskie and the 'Pede argument.....its infuriating

I'm sorry that you think I have derailed this thread. The way I see it is that Pixie started a wum-thread that just happened to have trapped a nerve with so many of you serious posters.

I'll move my "Windy Miller" references to other threads, more suited for wummery, and leave this one in peace.

All I would ask is that, in my absence, you jump on anyone who continues to take cheap pot-shots at me when I'm not here to defend myself, and where you (and others) clearly want to keep this (initially conceived as a wum) thread routed firmly on topic.

There were numerous messages and some really interesting stories over the 4 pages. Not even any of the usual Hiag Fan club were taking the piss or taking Piskies initial post with any seriousness.

I'm having a go because you felt you needed to have a pop back 5 pages later after numerous responses that then caused a giant de-rail, especially when this thread had become somewhat serious with people revealing some tragic **** in their lives.

I used to try my very best not to get involved with any work stuff after I'd finished, but there were times that it wasn't an option. I used to be involved with a scheme called MAPPA which was a multi agency organisation between Police, Probation, Housing, Psychiatric liaison etc. and there were times where some of our mutual clients would require input from one or more of these agencies, so I'd get roped in.

My only gripe, was that I was only paid for a set contract, rather than an hourly amount each week. So I'd sometimes get called out at 9pm - 10pm and not get paid for it. At the time, I was happy to help my clients out of a sticky situation, but looking back, the NHS should have paid me for this, which was sometimes, quite risky work.
