I say what a wonderful barney (as opposed to me who is a wonderful Barney) on the ‘Daily Thread’ on Friday eve. First class and well done to both participants.

Much better than all that pointless ‘in the next I fancy…’ and ‘my new beau the workrider recommends…’ So then who are today’s combatants?!?

Right, this hardly seems like a tip but the gaffer's syndicate horse, Dyna Might runs in the last at Thirsk today off bottom weight - it is the favourite and it has to win.

I say this because after it won at 33/1 they returned to the same course and distance last week at Beverley and got beat half a length by a horse that was gambled from 6/1 down to favouritism - but the third was 7 lengths behind.

The risk today is that it is running twice in a week because it may get hammered by the handicapper tomorrow.

Listowel 2.25-Pateen looks overpriced at 25/1 and might sneak into some place money.
Gowran 2.35-Grey Waters win 4/1.Young Joseph won this race last year and yard have come into form of late.Ran well at Ltown lto and this looks winnable.

**** firewall then?

We have a bank holiday here in Germany today so I may well check out how the Mullins machine gets on in Listowel <ok>

Bank holiday here too thank ****, I'm floored by Guinness and Whiskey all day yesterday.

How impressive was that Brametot in Chantilly yesterday btw, stunning performance to win the way he did after missing the break and all.

Great ride from Ruby on Uradel there. You don't see many Mullins/Walsh runners winning maiden hurdle races at 12/1

Guys, is Whit Sunday 'party time' in Ireland then? If so, didn't know that. "Gute Besserung!" :emoticon-0100-smile

Worse than the carrots apparently ......................... ;)

Can't beat a finely Sliced firewall. I never had Barney down as an IT whizz, but clearly he's already hacked his way out.

Hats off to for the effort I say.

Pork Pie? Could you imagine Barney quaffing one of those down on his lunch break? Thinly sliced obviously.
