So obviously gutted about judas! But moving forward, would you want Peter Crouch in to replace Carroll? Personally I think he would be a good buy for the right price and could replace Carroll (and for a snip of the price).
Who else could be available ?
 
No.

Would prefer someone like Elmander or even DJ Campbell.

Crouch is a poor mans' Carroll.

According to Huddo Hudson on twitter Swedish press have said he's on Tyneside having a medical.
 
I would take Peter Crouch. In an instant. He is a proven goalscorer, works for the team, and provides assists for players. He would be a ready replacement for Carroll. He may not be as good, or as young, but he would certainly do a good job for us.
 
yea i agree crouch is by no means a better player than carroll, but is he really that much worse?
apart from carroll having age on his side, if we can get crouch for the right price then why not? think he would fit into our formation nicely.
 
You do realise that any club we attempt to purchase from will be thinking

Hey, they have £35m free from selling Andy Caroll... let's demand another £2m for our player.

I completely agree. I honestly don't get the negativity to Crouch. His record for England is incredible, he has a good record for all the clubs he has played for, good in the air, good on the floor, can score and can link play. Perfect for our system.
 
Crouch would be good, but he wouldn't move to North East cos London is way better (well it's not, it's ****, but footballers seem to think so)

Elmander would be good, but, would we not need someone to go alongside him? Cos Shola is **** isn't he :S
