If he is that good city would not let go. Signing him for free maybe good, but his wages is going to be high.
LB being our problem area..can he be the solution?. I doubt it !

Its the continuation of freebie shopping from city. Hes free! Also zabaleta is going to. I hear hes good at winning headers so Jimmy neednt worry about him being out jumped.

Also they have released a winger if you wanted some squad depth....

Mignolet: “The minute when he told me there was this sudden rush of disappointment. I didn’t get it. This was the worst moment I had, worse than when Brendan dropped me for Brad Jones.
    .
“After I was dropped that time, I just kept asking myself ‘why?’ but the only way to deal with it was to put my head down and get on with it.
    .
“I was determined to show myself in the best possible light. The last few months have given me a lot more settlement here. .

“You are thinking from the outside world about how it will be, You see it as a competition, with Loris getting another chance and Danny Ward coming back. I understand that. But that isn’t how it is. I’m fighting against Manuel Neuer, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Joe Hart, Iker Casillas. I know all those names are going to be flying around, I’m not fighting against the guys in the dressing room. .

“I’m 29 now. I know what happens when you are the Liverpool goalkeeper. Whether you have good performances, s*** performances, the scrutiny is always there. Always.”
    .
“This has been my best season for Liverpool but I am still taking things on board.”

I personally think he's grown a lot over the 2nd half of this season. I also feel that if there is ever a penalty against us there is always a good chance he will save it. The number of penalties he's saved for us is insane. He's also coming for crosses and dealing with corners better. He's not perfect but he's solid and I think we'd find it hard to updgrade him.

If we protect him with a good back 4 then he's a great shot stopper and likely to pull off those unexpected saves, I don't think he needs replacing myself.

My Window Cleaner mate said that the only thing holding up the VVD deal is a thorough check of his recent injury treatment and rehab. Once that's done he'll be a Liverpool player.

Keita is going to be announced when he returns from his family holiday.

Wasn't meant to be a stealth WUM.

We all know you guys aren't buying clichy as he's old and not very good at attacking. We also know players like Zab and Navas won't go to Liverpool to sit on the bench unless you pay them a load and that would be really stupid of your club to do that.

If Klopp has any power that won't happen... we can only hope with Edwards :emoticon-0130-devil

Liverpool transfer news LIVE - Van Dijk reportedly wants to play for Klopp, Salah agent in England
Gael Clichy is NOT on his way to Liverpool
Right, time to cross another one off the list.
Despite reports in certain quarters this morning, Gael Clichy is NOT on his way to Liverpool on a two-year deal.
The ECHO understands he is not a target for Jurgen Klopp, who is still keen to add a new left-back this summer.
Liverpool’s search for a left-back started with Ryan Sessegnon, but reports claimed that the Reds have moved on to other targets with Tottenham leading the race for the Fulham wonderkid.
Benjamin Mendy was linked yesterday, but he is likely to move to Man City or Chelsea.
Salah agent sends Reds into frenzy
Mohamed Salah’s agent doesn’t know what he has started.
He followed Liverpool on Twitter and then uploaded plane tickets to England on social media - cue pandemonium among Reds fans.

@The Liebherr Legacy and the rest of the Soton lads aren't happy about us potentially signing VVD.

    Don't blame them either really

I'm wondering how LFC got hold of my FF team - they seem to be working through it. Just waiting for the rumours now about De Bruyne and Bellerin <laugh>
