Jokanovic from Fulham has impressed this season - he also did a great job with the weird club (managerial terms) that is Watford. Would play attacking football - not sure defence would be so good though.
Are you a youngster and not remember him at Chelsea? He's had a few good jobs and been shiny on the surface without much footballing substance.
I speak for myself and my views are my own. I don't presume to speak for anyone else and that is just how it should be on this forum.
Well you occasionally speak for the lovely Mrs Godders, but I've always assumed that's because she said you could.
The Sun must have been struggling to fill up the columns? So, Marco Silva decided to join Watford over Southampton? Zzzzzzzzzzzz https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...ld-secret-talks-with-ligue-1-side-st-etienne/
Strange that St Etienne might consider Puel given that he was previously at Lyon. The two teams are rivals and the emergence of OL seen at the expense of St. Etienne is viewed with hostility. It wold be interesting to see how St Etienne supporters view this. On the face of things, it could work out well for both St Etienne and Saints.
As the late Roger Moore said, I always have the last word with the women in my life and that word is 'yes.'
St Etienne would make a bit of sense, but Claude may feel it is a step down - considering the club he left to join us finished 3rd this season. I have no idea - St Etienne may pay good money, or have an ambitious board. Hopefully this can be sorted, one way or the other, soon, so our summer isn't dominated by this speculation over Claude and outgoings, and we can focus on strengthening the team.
We could watch him revive St Etienne to that great side of the 70s and the emergence of the next Michel Platini.
I would feel much better if he got a new job that suited him (and his family), because, whether you want him to stay or not, he doesn't deserve the sack. I hate the idea that we have left a bad taste in his mouth....he did what he was asked and didn't deserve vilification. In fact, it was a wonderful thing to get to a Wembley Final....how quickly people forget. We like being told we are good fans....supportive at all times...we seem to have lost that. Expectations have been raised by watching exciting football (in general) for many years...something we only saw in rare flashes this season...not a reason on its own to sack a manager....so best all round if Puel gets a good deal (perhaps a pay off and a move back to France) (assuming of course he is leaving).

I don't know if Claude is going or not (obviously) - sacking him seems harsh and sets a hell of a precedent for whoever comes in next. Fair enough if he or his family are unhappy though. I'd quite like anyone who's going to just go though - whether players or staff - nice and early, no messing about. Probably a pipe dream, but it's all the hanging around and speculation that irritates me. If you know you want to go, then thanks for your contribution and we'll see you on the other side.
